I've been told that adding vodka to the fresh water tank keeps the water fresher longer. Any truth to this? If so what's the appropriae ratio? Thanks, John

I have a Zamp Solar Charger Controller. Reviews indicate it is a good one. Batteries voltage ranges from 12.5 at nite to 14 during sunny days. Chassis battery seem to be staying up. I have no problem when starting the engine. Thanks for your info. John

2021 Winnebago Adventurer 29B I am storing my MH for 4 months. I run the engine for several minutes every 2 weeks and the generator every month. The solar panel keeps the batteries charged. I don't want to disconnect the batteries since I've already had a relay go bad and still don't know...

Both house and chassis were dead when I got to the repair shop. It started with the chassis.

I have recently acquired a very pungent odor in my hot water. I emptied it and cleaned the anode. No change. Any ideas what the source may be?

Mine is much bigger than a flat spot. It is a definite leak. I got surprised a couple times before I installed the extra valve and extension.

The disconnect relay is for both the house and engine. The engine side blew first. by the time I got to the repair shop the house 12VDC system was down also.

Lots of hoses in the way but I think you can get the idea. The floor mat on the left is what I use to cover the hole when traveling.

I'm guessing a faulty controller. I just got mine replaced because my steps were always 'On'. Every time I opened/shut the door the steps would extend/retract. Could not keep them extended with engine not running. Could be the controller. Let us know what you find.

Update: I used a saws-all to widen the sewer hose opening enuff to install a 90 degree hose adapter onto the twist-on valve extension. When traveling I lay a single floor mat over the opening. When camping I close the tank valves and leave the extended valve open so there's no build-up of...

Thanks for the replies. The steps were always 'On' regardless of the switch position. They did retract when the engine was started. They opened and closed with the door but they would not stay extended with the switch in the 'Off' position. The controller was bad. Ernie's RV Repair in Tumwater...
