Karsty: FYI, Walmart sells a Universal Trailer Lighting Kit with all of the goodies including a licence plate bracket with a light!  This what I used with my hitch carrier! Good Luck, JW07

Karsty; Had a similar problem with a hitch carrier.  After a few feeble attempts of attaching a light for the plate, I removed the plate and mounted it to the rear ladder with plastic cable ties.  The plate is high enough up on the ladder for easy visibility and without any obstructions.  So...
