Aussies coming to US - Looking for RV advice

Once you sort out which RV, you can find many campground guides online  such as this one http://www.uscampgrounds.info. Also Many Walmarts stores even allow overnight, not full fledged camping, but free for one night always ask before you do. So there are always options. I hope this helps. Dan

    Framily Veterans

Many years ago, in March 1970, when I was a young kid of 18 and 3 days I raised my hand and pledged my allegiance to our flag and country, yes I was an enlistee. I enlisted into the U.S. Army. I became a Combat Engineer, eventually a bridge specialist. While I was going through getting my...

    Schumacher Converter Charger SARVC 55

I just returned from getting my 2012 Winnebago Adventurer summerized (opposite of winterized), and I got nothing for lights. I haven't tried to check the unhooked voltage on the batteries, may need to replace. I am certainly not a fan of the Schummacher Mity-mite Sarvc converter it has boiled...

Aqua hot leaking like a sieve

It is just sad that the kid had to lose his job for a training error. I still have them perform maintenance that I can't do.

Aqua hot leaking like a sieve

I have a 2012 Winnebago Adventurer, because it has a ice maker and drinking water filter when the motorhome was new we decided that we would have the RV store where we bought it do the winterizing. The first year paid for itself, the tech that winterized it failed to drain the water heater so...

    future entry door issue

After studying the photos, it is my opinion that this is a device is a limiter designed to prevent the door from hitting the mirror when it is opened so no strap needed, at least until this mechanism breaks. Wife may need to learn to hold on to the door.

    Tire pressure

I got one from Chinese tool(hf) :D it is pancake style rated at 150 psi and it runs great. Even at home with other compressors, I frequently get this one from the mh, because it is easier to use.

    Converter/Charger problem-Winnebago

I would also recommend the charge wizard otherwise the batteries will be consistently over charged and run dry.

    Battery life while sitting

I once owned a 2006 motorhome(I would rather not say the brand) with a Inteli-Power 9100 60amp Converter/Charger the charger kept over charging the batteries on the rig both the house and chassis batteries. I found out with this charger, it just poured the coals to them, the batteries...

    Disinfecting water supply

In the thirty years I have had everything from a pickup camper to my new 2012 Winnebago Adventurer, I only had a problem a couple of times needing to disinfect the water system. Once in a Midas class c motorhome where the fresh water tank was under the dinette seat, and this time in the...

    backup camera

I did it in a Damon Daybreak it had a b&w system with a 5" monitor switched it for a 7" color.  Running the new cable turned out to be the easiest thing. Mounting the new monitor where the old one was was a little tougher. The end cap of the motorhome has a gap which made it easy to run the new...

    another 12v question

F-I-L's 1975 Winnebago will run all day long with out the house battery. In fact the house battery has been in the garage for last few years. Now he is 93, and selling his motorhome we just put it back in last week. In the last 30 years, with experience with two different brands of pickup...
