First: duh, never thought of that part. Second; running it low would help keep the pipes from freezing.

We will be leaving from the northern most part of NY/VT and heading southwest.  Wondering about running the furnace so when we stop overnight on our trip (til we get someplace warm) so the FW isn't so cold when we get in it.

Can't stand our salesman or the dealer.  Was determined not to buy from them. However, after tons of research and talking to you guys here, they were the ones that had what we were looking for.  We bought the RV not the dealership.

I agree with Big Joe.  After making several phone calls, it does all depend on the vendor selling the propane.  It does also depend on whether they sell by weight or gallons. (Also found that it depends on if the person filling the tanks has an RV also.  ;) Thanks for all the responses! Dinah

Have you found that most places will fill your propane tanks while still in the 5th wheel compartment? Or do you need to remove them for filling? Thanks!
