Heating my Class A during winter in Michigan?

Gary, I drained fresh/gray/black water system and added RV anti-freeze, shut off the ice maker valve etc. But we still have all of the condiments and such in the coach. Want to keep her warm etc. Mike

Heating my Class A during winter in Michigan?

I need help from the old hands here! I have the 35' 07 Pace Arrow, right now it is plugged in to my garage on a 50 amp circuit. I have the heat running in it right now, on the electric side, set at 60 degrees. Both AC units are running right now, but I don't think this is a good idea to do...

    Green diesel?

Bio-diesel. The price is the same at the pumps as the regular stuff, at least in my travels as a truck driver. Personally, I will not run the stuff. Call it fear or ignorance. But I have spoken to one to many other O/O out here that have had trouble with it gumming up their fuel filters, lines...

    Select Comfort vs Sat/Sam

How you all doing! Been away awhile and was looking for info on another subject and saw this thread. We have the SC short Queen in our 07 Pace Arrow. Very comfortable, the wife loves it and so do I. My mother just moved and was looking for a new bed. I sent her over to the local SC store and...

Yep, she loves it! Did I say she loves it! Yep, I am a very happy camper! If she is happy, I am happy! ;D Mike

    Coachman Class A

I like the Winnebago. In fact I almost bought a real nice used 2004 Vectra DP. It is still on the lot, and she is sharp. The materials I saw were top notch in that DP as well as the Itasca Suncruiser line I looked at. A real step above allot of manufactures out there in my book. But I am new to...

    Coachman Class A

I would not go with a Ford, having owned one. The fuel mileage was nothing to write home about, and the engine noise level was unbearable in the Ford powered coach. I actually get better mileage out of the big GM in the Pace Arrow, with twice the weight and size then I got out of the little...

Just ordered one of those satellite internet thingies!

Thanks Barb! Tony sounds like a pretty straight shooter. My system is on order, and should be installed hopefully by next week. We will have to see how our schedules work out. Mike

    Coachman Class A

Shayne is probably right regarding the FRED units. May be a bit loud, I know my gasser WorkHorse GM is a screamer when pulling hills. I could not imagine a diesel up there. But, it could be something that one could live with. I guess it depends on the manufacturer and sound deadening materials...

    Coachman Class A

Gulf Streams and Forest Rivers were on par with the Coachmen I owned. And I only say that is because I owned a Coachmen, while in the hunt for a class A. I saw allot of the same problems and "stuff", let's just leave it there. As far as the FREDS and UFO chassis, I ain't got a clue, but really...

    Any drinkiing water issues?

Bernie, I used to buy Iron Out by the case! And I am familiar with SW hard water, Phoenix and Vegas. The stuff that comes out of my house tap would knock your socks and nose off if not for the Kinetico water softener I had installed a few years ago. Best 3 grand I ever spent! And I would have...

Just ordered one of those satellite internet thingies!

I don't know if it is the same guy? I know he said he would come out to the house and do the install, but I would have to pay. I might just do that, have him come out. But, I found Tony on MotoSats web site when I did a search for MI dealers/installers. I am right here outside of Chelsea...

    Coachman Class A

I'll have to side with Shayne on this one. We had a 2007 Coachmen high end class C and moved up to a 2007 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 35A class A. Cost me a few bucks, but the wife and I are very HAPPY!!!! ;D The quality of the two are night and day. The Fleetwood was clean, no sawdust, which the...

Just ordered one of those satellite internet thingies!

Ron, Thanks for the info regarding the Winegard. The dealer I am buying from is up the road from me in Burton MI. I called him this morning with questions regarding the Winegard. There is not much info on the internet regarding their systems, and I was thinking of switching to a DataStorm...

    Any drinkiing water issues?

Come on out here! Your water is a God send. Brown iron water is the norm up here, and that rotten egg smell will send you over the edge. A water softener is very much needed in certain parts. I have seen what it can do, trust me.
