    Working out Staying in Shape

If you are looking for a RV friendly full body workout, I don't think you can beat "kettle bells". You aren't going to need more than one (1) 20-30lb bell and your wife one (1) 10-15lb bell. They are small and easy to store. They are cheap ($1.50 per lb) or a 4-bell starter set for $50. There...

    Bike rack for 5th wheel

Reducing it from a 2" receiver to 1.25" rack is fine (I have one and it has the benefit of extending the rack so it clears the spare tire). I interpreted it that he was trying to go the other way -- which isn't.

Pros & Cons of bike rack on front of truck

Lifting a 50lb bike up onto the roof rack of a pick-up truck will be a challenge. I'm in very good shape for a 60+ year old, and I wouldn't want to do it on a regular basis. It's not so much the weight but bikes are cumbersome and don't come with handles. We used to carry four (4) 20-30lb bikes...

    Is that even legal?

    Winterizing my Minnie Winnie Drop

If the Drop is like my Minnie the red/blue piping you see under the slide is not what you need to locate. You need to find the valves which Winnebago likes to hide inside their TTs. Mine are located under the bathroom sink behind the maintenance panel (which you need to unscrew) and under the...

    Winterizing with air pressure

I use a 5 CFM compressor at 25psi and blow out one faucet at a time (after draining the system and hot water heater first). Don't forget the black water flush...I start with it.

    Best Ford truck forum(s)?

    Lug Nut Size

Its not that simple...you need to know the pitch of thread (aka tpi). For example, Ford changed there's between the 2010 and 2016 F150 which screwed up the first time I tried to mount the winter wheels. I'd contact Winnebago. Since I have that same TT, if you would post the answer it would be...

Wellesley Island State Park/1000 Islands area - Must Do's ?

I was thinking of this place but couldn't remember the name. There is also a (Amish?) sandwich shop nearby which I would visit again.

Wellesley Island State Park/1000 Islands area - Must Do's ?

Its a pretty nice park (imho NY State Parks typically are). The beaches are nice...the water can be a bit cold. It is a big park though so you may want bikes to get around. There is not much on the island apart from the park and a couple of golf courses. There is a pretty cool resort community...

    Andersen WD (chain) hitch questions

24 foot trailer (28 foot total), 7000lb GVWR -- when it is hooked up properly it works great but sometimes I have to stop along the roadside and re-adjust. My 850lb tongue weight puts me close to the effective limit for my truck (F150 with >1600 lbs of payload). fwiw: I wouldn't tow...

    Andersen WD (chain) hitch questions

Pros: quiet, clean, compact, lightweight, serviceable...as advertised it beats all others on these features. You also have the ability to fine tune the WD based on your load by adding/removing a fraction of a thread (more finer grain than adding/removing a link on a tension bar system) Cons...

Proof Tesla owners have more money than sense?

This guy thinks towing a 5000lb TT with a Model X is just fine. Never mind stopping and controlling the load it has a 100 mile range! In fairness to him, Tesla marketing says 5000 is the max and we all know you can safely tow the maximum. The Tesla fan boy pages think it is all about the...

Amazing that no one got hurt

Judging by the lack of side panel damage, it looks like they threaded it between the wheels (they did rip off at least one of the TT axles though). So I am not surprised the wedge-shaped car could lift the TT off the road...but the TV as well...wow. Curious if this was a new Nissan with their...
