    duo-therm 3106463.007 replacement thermostat

Thanks for all the info. I'll check out the repair and conversion first. I haven't been a big fan of ebay, which is why I probably didn't come across the old thermostat in my searches.

    duo-therm 3106463.007 replacement thermostat

Greetings again. I'm in need of a replacement for my 20 yr old thermostat indicated in the subject line. Mine is a 4-button model which I have been unable to find on the internet. Everything I've found is either digital or has 5 buttons. Neither of these indicate what thermostats they replace...

Convert from 30 amp service to 50 amp

Great info. RV is presently getting some exterior body work done, so I won't be working on this issue for a while. Of course, that's after I get the generator repaired as well.............

Convert from 30 amp service to 50 amp

Thanks for all the suggestions. Yes, I have a selector switch. Both A/C's run on gen power when the switch is position 1 and the thermostat is set so both A/C's will work (temp selection). On house power I need to switch between positions 1 & 2 to power the different A/C's.

Convert from 30 amp service to 50 amp

I like the suggestion of a second external 20A circuit for the second A/C. I would assume doing that would be considerably cheaper than attempting to convert the unit to a totally 50A service. I think almost everywhere I've been has a 20A receptacle on the power post. Seems worth looking into.

Convert from 30 amp service to 50 amp

Have a 1996 holiday rambler with a 30 amp service cable. The RV also has an Onan Marquis 7000 generator that pushes out 50 amps into the RV. When on generator power, I can run both the bedroom A/C and the main A/C simultaneously. When I'm plugged into the 30 amp service I can only run one of the...

    Atwood G6A-8E water heater problem

Installed new electrode this morning. Heater has been chugging along since 11 AM with no lockout. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated!

    Atwood G6A-8E water heater problem

Cleaned everything as best I could as I'm on the road with the RV. Still didn't last more than 10 min before lockout. Went online and ordered the electrode. Should be at my home tomorrow, so I'll see if that solves the problem. BTW, ordered the electrode from Amazon ($19 and free shipping with...

    Atwood G6A-8E water heater problem

OK. I tried the advice from the first 2 replies to my post. The gas pipe is clear. I cleaned the wire connection to the igniter/sensor. Filled the tank (doesn't appear to be any leakage at the moment). Anyway, I turned on the heater. The gas ignited and the heater ran for about 10 min and then...

    Atwood G6A-8E water heater problem

Thanks for the info. I'll give both a try. However, now that the cardboard cover is starting to dry out, I'm concerned that once I take the heater off of bypass, the possible leak will start again. Any thoughts on that issue before I refill the tank?

    Atwood G6A-8E water heater problem

The subject heater is installed in my 1996 Holiday Rambler. It's the original install with a cardboard enclosure and insulation surrounding the water tank. Today I attempted to start the heater using the switch in the RV. The ignition went on and I could hear the gas ignite. Shortly thereafter...

Onan Marquis 7000 - No power to coach

OK, so no issue with any of the CBs. Finally took it to a mom & pop shop because I was unable to access any of the areas where I could check any of the terminals. Too bad, turned out to be a disconnected wire going from the regulator to some kind of terminal board. Apparently the wire worked its...

Onan Marquis 7000 - No power to coach

OK. I'll give it another shot.

Onan Marquis 7000 - No power to coach

Yeah. All the CB's that I can see are fine. Changing the position of the 30 & 20 amp fuses on the side of the generator has no effect.
