    Utah County to Disneyland California?

Reminds me of driving in Europe (not in a motorhome) but we'd be cruising along and all of a sudden were at a toll booth to enter another country with NO place to turn around.. that happened a lot between Paris and Belgium.  :)  ..  AND yes my husband said for the toll roads they photograph your...

    Utah County to Disneyland California?

The cones are fine, it's the concrete road barriers that they put everywhere in CA along the shoulders.  And apparently it's easier to just leave them there when the projects are done.  It makes the freeways really narrow and tight when driving a big RV.

    Utah County to Disneyland California?

Thank you..  I did mean Utah County since that is a bit further south than some other parts of the state.  So far from our travels it seems most all states have nicer roads than we do here in CA and are a lot better about traffic warnings and cone-zones.  I can't tell you how frustrated I am...

    Utah County to Disneyland California?

Can anyone tell me what the roads are like?  We have a lot of experience with the terrible roads between Anaheim and northern CA.  Were looking to move to Utah this summer and want to know if driving to DL will be more enjoyable coming from Utah County?  Most people say to stop in St. George...

    Full timing and dumping?

My long hair has been known to ruin a lot of things lol.  It's going to be an interesting adventure!

    Full timing and dumping?

Sounds like the macerator pump might be the simplest considering we will be pretty far from a dump station (like 15 min drive) and I can't imagine burying a tank would be a good idea.  Thank you for the tip about hair ruining the pump.. never would have thought of that.

    Full timing and dumping?

Thanks everyone!  I'm not sure what they have on their property so we'll have to check with them.  It's a residential neighborhood but in a very rural area on the outskirts of town.  Their land backs up against miles of sod farm.  In any event, I think knowing what our alternatives are for...

    Full timing and dumping?

So we will possibly be living in our RV this summer on my inlaws' property while were having a new home built.  Do we have any options other than driving to a dump station every few days?  My inlaws do not have an RV dump on their property which would be the obvious answer.  Thanks!

I80 from Sacramento to Salt Lake in the winter?

Thank you!  What about while were in Utah as far as winterizing?  I'm trying to determine if it's worth the cost to possibly buy chains since we likely won't be driving in the snow often.

I80 from Sacramento to Salt Lake in the winter?

There has been practically no snow this year so I'm curious if this is even an option?  Personally I would feel safer in our 4WD SUV but my husband would prefer to take the RV.  Another note, our RV is not winterized.  We would be taking the trip in the next couple of weeks.  I'm thinking with...

    Jeeps as a toad ?

We just bought a 94 Wrangler to tow.  We are a Jeep family though.  We've owned an 82 Cherokee Laredo but it's way too heavy to tow!

Santa Rosa, CA to Pismo Beach to Anaheim

We'll be leaving on Saturday so no rush hour but maybe lots of weekend traffic?  We only ever go through the city.. so hog the center lane or re-route though Emeryville and down that way?

    Dashboard A/C - Should I Even Bother?

We had the same problem with our RV.  It had been sitting before we purchased it.  We opted to try the freon recharge first since it is a quick and easy fix and then we will have the hoses inspected when we take it in for maintenance.  In our case the recharge fixed the issue and was TOTALLY...

    Brake assist?

So my being a newbie, I assumed all tow systems come with the brake assist, now I see they do not and this is a separate system.  Do the majority of people use brake assist?  If not, what was your deciding factor?

Do y'all notice how many MH's these days

We notice them everywhere since buying ours in July.  And if we don't notice it, my 2 year old son will scream and point it out to us as were driving down the road.  He started out calling them a "home-home" and within a month he was able to say "motorhome".. so cute.  He's our spotter!
