Must Have apps and Websites for RVrs

In response to UTTransplant, or anyone else who wonders why I boondock.....I have boondocked with my husband for 20 years, or my daughter once she turned 16.  We only parked in WalMarts in areas we felt comfortable.  When with my daughter, if we couldn't find a WM that felt good, we went to a...

    Women traveling alone

That's hysterical.  I used to work in DC and a woman in the office traveled her daily commute with multiple dummies in her car so she could drive in the HOV lane.  I think she got caught at some point, but it was funny while it lasted.  I am going to have to look into that though.  My dog is a...

    Apps that help with Boondocking

Almost forgot.....another of my must have apps is GLYMPSE.  I insist my kids have it as well.  You can send someone a "Glympse" and they can know exactly where you are, speed you are traveling if in a vehicle, etc.  It could be a lifesaver.

    Pueblo Colorado

My daughter is camping in that area now, and I insisted she download "Crime and Place" app (iphone)  Last night her dinner stop en route turned out to be in a bad area, so she kept moving.  Whew as a mom I'm ever so grateful.  Also insist she uses "GLympse".  Crime and Place app will let you...

Must Have apps and Websites for RVrs

I use all of the above, but just found CRIME and PLACE which will show you on a map or on a compass what the crime rate is in the area.  I used it when overnighting.....but I'm traveling alone (female) and have a dog to walk so I'm always cautious.

    Apps that help with Boondocking

I've been boondocking for many years with my husband, mostly on WalMarts.  Now that I'll be boondocking alone I've gotten more focused on how to find, and how to be safe.  Are there any apps you use for the process?  Here are my go to apps.....would like suggestions please. CRIME and PLACE -...

    Foretravel anyone?

Thanks for pointing that out.  We loved our Dynasty, but got to a point we were just using it to transport the family from Oklahoma to Maine in the summer, and after we were down to one daughter, we scaled WAY down to a PleasureWay.  That nearly led to divorce :) so we bumped back up to a Navion...

    Women traveling alone

Thank you all!  I've been driving 1800 miles about 6 times a year, but always with my daughter or husband till this year.  Usually 600 miles per day. (And to the 72 year old woman, I am not too far behind you at 64)  We have always been on a mission to get there, and haven't been able to enjoy...

    Foretravel anyone?

Anyone have an experience to offer?  We have had a little bit of everything.  The largest being a Monaco Dynasty and the smallest being a Pleasureway.  We currently have an Itasca and while we love the maneuverability, it is just too small to use for anything other than transportation to and...

    Women traveling alone

Do many of you women drive alone?  I have been driving with my husband or daughter (and dogs) 1800 miles per trip but it looks like I'm going to need to drive on my own a couple of times this summer.  Anybody want to weigh in on this?  I plan on overnighting at Wal-Marts and will be diligent...
