    Which Sewer System?

I have the Valterra Sewer Solution which I used to empty my tanks when the sewer access was slightly uphill from the RV.  It worked very well for this.  I rarely use it when the sewer access is downhill because the 3" regular hose is easier and faster.

    Generator

I had a generac, different model, and it was so loud hearing the TV was difficult and made no new friends at the campsite.  Bought 2 Honda EU2000i's and would recommend you do the same (or the Yamaha).  Also, 115 lbs is a lot to handle, the Honda's are about 50 lbs each and easy to handle.

    New Toyo tires

I was told by a manager at a large tire dealer/retreader that most 'alligators' are from new tires and not retreads.  This was from a personal conversation, not a sales conversation.

    Dumping....

This fall I had a new shop built.  I intended to park the RV in it so I had a floor access added when it was plumbed for the bathroom so that I could dump the tanks into the septic system.  After the first trip this spring I proceded to dump the tanks and discovered that the hose had a hole in...

To have a spare or not to have that is they question

FWIW.  Try removing a lugnut.  I doubt if a 1/2 inch drive impact will budge it.  You will probably break 1/2 inch drive tools when you apply pressure to the cheater pipe trying to move the breaker bar.  3/4 inch tools would hold together but you still will need to be able to apply the needed...

What to do about batteries during long-term storage?

I would recommend Battery Tender to keep them charged over the winter.  I have had very good luck with this brand of charger.

    My First Diesel Motorhome

Congratulations.  I love my '97 American Dream.  I think they have classic lines and those big stainless bumpers are beautiful.  I like them so much that even though I own one, I am jealous of yours! ;-)

    Pop out cover

Mine was ripped by the wind about 12 inches like yours.  I removed it and took it to a tarp company and had them add white tarp material and restitch the 'tube' that the plastic piece slides into.  Worked great, except it got a little thick at the leading edge were it was folded over, and was a...

Grease gun gets stuck on zerk fitting

The grease gun is just a pump, if its pumping grease then it doesn't need replaced.  Before you drop the money on a new gun you might try just changing the grease coupler with a higher quality one.  Many have the ability to adjust the tension by unscrewing them slightly.

    Power at the post

I am guessing you are plugging your 50 amp line into a 30 amp receptacle via an adapter.  You might try a cheater box that allows using both the 30 amp and 20 amp receptacle to provide power to your 50 amp rv.

    Insulation help needed

As Gary said, the more R-value the better.  I have used reflective insulation from Home Depot to insulate under metal siding with very good results.  It is thin, has metalic film as a radiant barrier, and cells like that of bubble wrap which insulates.

    Motorhome rear Springs

Either re-arched or new spring pack would be best.  I have used helper springs on a service truck, to handle the weight of tools and fuel, with good results.  I have also used Timbren rubber springs to boost weak springs on the front of a F-750 again with good results.

Law suit over HP ratings--you may get some money back

So, am I to assume that those of you who submitted a claim somehow feel cheated that your motor was inaccurately labeled as to its horsepower rating?  Perhaps you just realized that your mower was not cutting as well as the label suggested it should.  Maybe when you bought your last mower you...

Wax, How often and what to use?

Protect-all is easy.  It can be applied to everything; glass, paint, gel coat, black trim, etc.  Spray on, spread with towel, and wipe dry.  Comes in trigger spray or aerosol.  I like it.
