    Traveling Minnesota to Phoenix AZ

X2 on what Jeff has said.  If you are on the western side of MN you may want to hit I29 down to Nebraska City.  Then down to Topeka, Wichita, to 54, etc.  Just watch the weather and slide south if need be.

Tour/Ellipse Owners - Full Wall Slide Question

With our Ellipse, Forest City replaced the black rollers with clear rollers to fix our problem(we had heard that they were doing this as a remedy).  They then cleaned the carpet and replaced some of the tile(when the black marks couldn't be removed).  No problems since then.

    Arizona

You should look at Canyon Vistas resort in Gold Canyon.  Great location away from the city. Great view and plenty to do if you wish.

Consider Mystic Lake Casino at Prior Lake.  Nice campground.

2012 Tour Maint. Issues - sewer smells, slide water leak, jacks not deploying,

David, We had that problem in our Ellipse.  Forest City fixed the problem.  It was with the side wall frame behind the drivers head that needed fixed.  No problem since they got into the wall for the repair. Roger

Yes, we have one, but it requires a land line.  Love it.

    leveling

Get a jack and some blocks and get to work.  That, or find a pickup with the proper hitch to borrow for a few minutes.

    2013 Meridian squeaks and snap/clicks

CBTraveler, That is what happened with our coach.  It took two trips to the factory to get the problem resolved.  They finally got into the wall and found where the frame had come apart, allowing for movement when conditions where right(rougher roads).  Once the framing issue was resolved, the...

Going to the Factory - what should I have them check?

Tom, Have you had the generator serviced?  Also, you may want to check into seeing if the rollers on the slides need to be changed.  Ours started leaving black marks on the floor.  They had to change the rollers from the black ones to clear ones. Roger

Alan, The next 3 days does not look much better.  More of the same.  Sorry to rain on your trip.  We did need the moisture, but not this much, this fast.  I finished up the planting hours before the rain started.  On to Gillette!!! Roger

    Cummins Help

Yoda, Yes, I have had this very issue to deal with.  It happened to us the first week of April on our way home from Arizona.  We ended up in Oklahoma City, OK at Freightliner.  I will try to make a long story short.  After talking to Cummins at Amarillo and Oklahoma City, yes the SCR can be an...

seeking feedback. Towing 5th whl vs Class A towing a car.

We've done both.  And just like all the other replies, the MH will be more expensive but I would never go back to a 5er.

8.9L Cummins 450hp ? Hot with Black Soot ? WTH? (this is not short)

Kim, I have found that I get better mileage on 2 lane roads when I drop the transmission down to 5th when I am on those roads and like to run in the 58 to 62 area.  I especially notice the difference if you have to fight the wind.

8.9L Cummins 450hp ? Hot with Black Soot ? WTH? (this is not short)

Kim, From attending Camp Freightliner, I learned that the "sweet spot" for the Cummins ISL is about 1750 rpm.  Also, when going up step grades is was recommended to keep the rpm's above 2000(for power and proper cooling).  I believe you may be lugging the engine too much.  No help on the soot...
