    book

Thanks, I am looking for a book that lists national parks and specifies which ones have campgrounds. so as we plan our trip we know where they are. As far as the WWW, Nps.gov was my first try. after a lot of frustration, I gave up. Nps has several links, which I found all lead to about.com...

    Backing up

On the down side I had a 5th Wheeler for 13 years and I never could get proficient at backing it up. I was always happy when I had a drive thru site. Good luck to you!

    Battery and new TT

Thanks for the replys, I am still not certain that an AGM battery would last very long with the inverter/charger that came with my unit, it may. I haven't enough information on its charging unit to be able to tell. Does anyone  disconnect the battery with the tt  plugged in to 110ac?. We like to...

    Battery and new TT

We just bought a new Laredo by Keystone, The battery box had two holes drilled in them to allow battery acid to run all over the trailer. I replaced it as soon as I got home. The salesman told me something interesting. He said If you leave the travel trailer plugged in at home most people (he's...

    My Trailer Stinks!

I think he is talking about a P-trap, if the water is gone from the p-trap you would get an odor, which would be evident at the sink. I have never heard of a p-trap loosing its water.

    RV Carport

We had 50'X16wide and 14 (i think) feet high built to accommodate our travel trailer. The cost was $3200 for materials and instillation. We got it out of a place in Virginia. I am well satisfied with both the construction and materials. We wanted cement, but like the other poster said it was...

Pulling with a 1/2 ton question (again)

imho It all depends on your rear end gear ratio. You might be able to do it if you are geared down enough, I wouldn't even try. I use a 1 ton dually (F350 diesel) to pull with. I have ruined a 1/2 ton Chevy while the dealer had told me it was going to be no problem.

    Pulling over?

I use truck stops or wal-marts. I traveled a lot when I was working, and had to get a nap from time to time. I always asked permission and I have never been refused. The last few years when I stopped at wal-mart I usually would check with their security and sometimes the guard will offer a...

    Holding tank swap out.

We have just purchased a new Laredo, and will take delivery of it this weekend. The travel trailer fits everything we want except for 1 item..........The Holding tanks! The unit has a 30 gallon black water and a 30 gallon grey water tank. We would like to have the dealer swap them out. We...

    Painting our RV ourselves?

Natasha you may find that most paints won't adhere to sanded aluminum siding. If you remove all of the factory primer, it will have to be replaced with a primer formulated for aluminum. I would definitely do some testing before tackling the whole vehicle.
