Binswanger Glass is a company which has branches in many states. I spoke with their local (Arlington Texas) shop and they say that if I bring in an RV window they will replace the glass with the exact same factory glass with desiccant and seal for $120.00 per pane (so $240.00 for a 2 pane sliding window). In speaking with a friend who was recently at Lazydays in FL, he says that is exactly what he had done ( at Lazydays) and for the same price.
Down side - I have to take the window out and get it to them. They will need to order the glass and then install. Obliviously, I will need to plug the window hole with a sheet of plastic and then will need to install the window when they are finished. They estimate the time necessary for their part of the transaction to be about 7 working days.
A couple of questions - Anyone ever used them? Second, if I decide to do this what tape will be best to secure the plastic? My coach is a 2005 Fleetwood Discovery with fiberglass sides.
I have searched in Texas and I have not been able to find anyone else who says they can do this kind of repair. Everyone else says they will replace the entire window.
Thanks In Advance
