By governor's orders, all non-essential businesses in Nevada will close tonight at midnight. There is only a short list of what is considered essential.

Here's Nevada:

Of great interest to me since our new 5er is still in our spot in Mesquite with a service appointment at the local dealer on the 30th.  Planning to go south on Saturday unless the situation worsens, the dealer parts and serrvice dept. is closed or the state borders close.  Their sales dept. closed last week.

Thanks Jackie for starting this thread.

I was scheduled to stay 6 more days at Red Rock Canyon National Consrv Area just west of Las Vegas.  The entire park, including campgrounds closed at 11:00 a.m. this morning.  I got a knock on my TT door last night at 8:00 p.m. informing me I had to be out by 11 the next day.

So back to the original plan of moving to a private CG in LV, which I did today.  That's two fed areas that have closed down on me and my travel plans.  Not a happy camper.  I still think there are some ulterior motives behind this.  Closing the Red Rock Canyon campground made no sense based on Covid 19.  Cancelling programs and visitor centers, okay, but campgrounds  ? ? ?  grrrrrrr

It looks like Louisiana is closed for business, stay at home order goes into effect 5 pm tomorrow, exceptions for travel to or providing essential services, going to family member's house, etc. Stay at home order page is here, https://gov.louisiana.gov/index.cfm/page/93  Guidance for what is essential comes from Dept of Homeland security document  https://gov.louisiana.gov/assets/docs/covid/CISA-Guidance.pdf

I have skimmed it and they mention hotels, if the hotel is being used to for Covid-19 isolation, no mention of RV's or campgrounds specifically

None essential businesses in Illinois are closed per the Governor as of Saturday March 21 at 5pm. This includes state parks and lakes. Illinois State Parks campsites are reserved through Reserve America.

From the Lake Powhatan Recreation Area & Campground in the Pisgah National Forest near Ashevliie, NC:

"Due to concerns related to COVID-19 all Pisgah Campgrounds and Sliding Rock will be closed until 5/15/2020"

https://www.pisgahhospitalitypartners.com/lake-powhatan/

I guess we're hitting it right so far. We left a Florida State Park on schedule the day before the closings were announced, and we canceled a 6 stay at Lake Powhatan a week ago when the friend we were going to meet up with had to change her plans. Now we're making our way north to our upstate NY family cottage, with just mostly overnights at private campgrounds along the way. We're not rushing so we can let the weather warm up a bit more before we get there.

Miami-Dade county mayor has ordered all hotels and motels to close. All visitors told to leave.

Just thought I would mention that many counties in Florida have ordered a curfew between 11pm and 5am but most of us old folds are still asleep then anyway

We are currently boondocking at Stewart Point, near Overton NV. A ranger came round this afternoon to advise that as of noon 25th, all camping and access on the North shore road will be closed. The campgrounds at Valley of Fire are also closed to new bookings and current units have to leave at the end of their stay. Boondocking appears to ok at Poverty Flats just outside Overton but there are no provisions for water or dumping.
It would also appear that the North shore road will be closed to any through traffic.

We are at katherine's landing, lake mead, and are hearing rumors that we have to be out this Wed. Also. But I have heard nothing about the Northshore being closed. Were told by friends that all campsites and marines closing, but that open for biking and hiking...

Hi Donna and Mark,
The reason I say they are closing North shore road is we were stopped at the North entrance by a Ranger and told the park is now closed. We were only allowed entry because we told him we were camping, but he was the first to tell us that we had until 25th to leave, ad was confirmed by Rangers visiting the site later in the afternoon.

Here is a complete breakdown on the Lake Mead Closure in Nevada.

https://www.8newsnow.com/news/local-news/lake-mead-announces-more-closures-amid-covid-19-outbreak/

Sure glad I chose to go to a private CG on Sunday rather than moving to Lake Mead area as I contemplated doing.  I know the crowds at Red Rock Canyon on Saturday were obnoxious, and I figured that is what prompted the shut down there.  Lake Mead crowds were over the top as well it seems.  Nevada is really taking this seriously and wants people to STAY HOME.

Denver and Boulder, CO are now on lockdown. So far those are the only two communities in this area so ordered, but that could change. The governor has so far declined to order that for the whole state.
