We are planning a year-long trip starting in July and expect to arrive in Florida sometime between mid-November to mid-December. Assuming we avoid Christmas week and Thanksgiving week, how far in advance do we need to reserve a spot to make sure we get a place?

Also, would you advise a regular, premium, or preferred campsite (it's just my wife, I, and our then to be 7-year-old boy.)

We're figuring to stay one to two weeks there.

Thanks for any advice.

Fort Wilderness can be booked up to 499 days in advance.  You wont need to book that far in advance the time of year you are going but Fort Wilderness is very popular and if you are looking to Reserve a space that includes weekends the earlier the better. I did get a Sunday night through Thursday reservation in Early November about 6 weeks out but I could not get a spot for Friday and Saturday on either end of my vacation. Epcot Food and Wine festival is going on that time of year and it is very popular with local Florida residents for weekend stays.
