I misread the title. I thought it said how many cats… 14 in case you were wondering.
I just hope the other 11 are better mousers than the three in your Avatar that are sleeping on the job.I misread the title. I thought it said how many cats… 14 in case you were wondering.
No one "owns" a cat. It's like sponsoring a child in the Congo. You pay for everything, they don't appreciate it, and they make contact with you twice before they decide to up and disappear.I misread the title. I thought it said how many cats… 14 in case you were wondering.
That sounds like your dog posted that!No one "owns" a cat. It's like sponsoring a child in the Congo. You pay for everything, they don't appreciate it, and they make contact with you twice before they decide to up and disappear.
My dog never met a cat he didn't like...with garlic, and a dab of Tabasco Sauce. That sounds like your dog posted that!

I didn’t say owns in my post.No one "owns" a cat. It's like sponsoring a child in the Congo. You pay for everything, they don't appreciate it, and they make contact with you twice before they decide to up and disappear.
No bad experience with cats, I just don't have any use for them. They don't do what you tell them to do, you can't train them to sit/stay/heel/fetch/come, and they won't retrieve a downed bird for me. A well-trained hunting dog will do all of that, as well as protect me and the household should some nefarious character break in, and be a companion to boot . A cat will just scat the other direction and leave you hanging. No honor or true loyalty. Just pretense because you feed them.I didn’t say owns in my post.
I’m sad you’ve had such bad experiences with cats. All of ours came to us sick and or starving. We turned that around for them. They are all very appreciative and stick around. Four of them travel with us.
Wow. Why was the one cat very cool?No bad experience with cats, I just don't have any use for them. We had one cat when I was a teenager. Very cool cat. If I could be guaranteed that any cat I get would be just like that one I'd get another one in an instant.
He was laid back, he had no problem with being picked up and moved about if he was in the way, he never bit, he did his business outside where he spent most of his daylight hours, and he and our hunting dogs got along well. And strangely, he would come when you called him most of the time. Big, fluffy orange tabby named Simba.Wow. Why was the one cat very cool?
Fun. That’s how my cats are, except for the dog part.He was laid back, he had no problem with being picked up and moved about if he was in the way, he never bit, he did his business outside where he spent most of his daylight hours, and he and our hunting dogs got along well.
