When I got divorced in the late 90s I had a very sympathetic boss. Once we were in the coffee room having a cup and he told me I'll probably have a problem sleeping for some time so have a few beers and take a couple of Benadryl that problem will be taken care of. Never did nor would.
I confused my heartburn medicine and muscle relaxant one day at work. My muscles and everything else relaxed as I nearly passed out in my Boss's office during a meeting. He looked at me and said "Are you OK? You don't look so well".

I said, "I don't think so", before falling out of the chair. It took me a few minutes to realize that my heartburn had not gone away and the mistake I had made. My wife had to drive clear across town to come and take me home to bed. Everyone in the office laughed for years about it.

I am a bit surprised about the really clean bit, out of the major brands of truck stops, Loves has always struck me as being the least clean in general, everything always seems grungy, the floors always seem dirty, etc. when compared to Pilot, Flying J, etc.

Read the reviews of the Rawlins, Wyoming's Flying J. Including the real life photos. I haven't seen it anything, but grungy, dirty, and crap on everything everytime. At least they're consistent.

We stayed at a Loves RV location in Morris, IL recently. $39 USD including tax for a one-night stay, including hookups (50a power, water, sewer). The place was clean, and the RV sites were on the opposite end of the property from the truck parking. The facility was newer. The sites we stayed in were closer to the passenger car gas pumps, but we really didn't notice any noise at night while sleeping. We indulged the next morning and snagged a few breakfast burritos from Carl's Junior, across the parking lot, as well as some sodas and a couple of Gatorades from the convenience store. That's not something we'd usually do, but when parked at a Loves, why not?

Noon checkout time. That was really good for us as we put in a 750 mile day before we got there, and were absolutely beat. We slept in and took our sweet time getting ready the next morning.

All in all, it was a really good value for a place to stop over. There was room for our toad, the facilities were clean, hookups supplied as promised, check in was super easy. Would highly recommend this location, and would do again ++++

On our next extended trip I know I'll keep a lookout for them, or the co-pilot actually, when we are looking to stop for the night and want something more peaceful than Walmart, Lowes, etc.

If anyone stops at the Loves RV park in Cordele, GA (I-75 Exit 102), may I suggest that you have the BBQ across the street at Smoakies. It's very good. The owner takes his BBQ very seriously. We would live/work in Cordele for weeks to months at a time, it was one of our favourite places to eat at.

This is good to know. Sometimes a travel day can go long for some reason or another and an overnight stop at a clean secure area with hook-ups could be very convenient. Also the prices seem quite reasonable.

I stopped at three Loves RV sites on this trip. All were level. clean, quiet, and had full hookups. Same price $39.

You can get a reservation and pay online but I just went to the fuel desk and did it there.

Interesting range of prices for this trip.

Lowest was a Casino at Clinton, OK that not only had free parking but also free electricity.

The most expensive was the KOA at the eastern side of Albuquerque at $102.

Most RV parks were in the $40 range.

We stopped at another Loves "RV" in Kimball, SD, on our route home from Nappannee, IN. Talk about a long drive. We left Morris, IL that morning (Love's).

So, the Love's in Kimball doesn't have sewer or water - we somehow missed that when reserving from a mobile phone. Beware.

We appreciate these kinds of easy stops, which we usually do at KOA's. I'm not generally a fan of KOA's in the middle of the country for various reasons. For one, I prefer in/out, I don't need an escort, nor do I want a bunch of amenities I'm not going to use, 'cause we aren't stopping for long! lol. More for people who need/want that stuff.

It was good enough for a stop-over, this one in Kimball. We were too beat to cook, so we ate at the Subway there, which was good enough, too. Watched a strong storm blow through before conking out for the night, was kind of nice.

Stopped at a Loves in Winona TX, actually we stopped only to check the RV sites out. They were pretty nice, the whole place was new though. Kiosk to check in, I guess maybe you could go to fuel desk, that would make sense. The guy I spoke to said it was $30 plus tax and reservation fee (online)

There’s 3 or 4 spots with electric at the Loves in Bellefontaine Ohio. (After looking at Google satellite pic it looks like maybe 5 slots.)

I'm just wondering when some enterprising campground business opens a string of overnight inexpensive rest stop-type places for RV'ers to utilize charging no more than $25 or $30 tops per night. All that's needed is a large parking lot spaced out for RV slideouts to be opened, and most RV'ers can get by with just having an electrical hook-up. They could have a water fill station to the side and charge extra either by the gallon or tank full. Also, a separate dump station that also would be an additional charge for those that would need one to empty their tanks.

No escort, no pools, manicured lawns, rec center, or shower and toilet facility. Just quiet, safe, clean easy to access, and adequate spacing between camper parking spots. Someplace like this wouldn't even need an attendant, self-check-in just like city parking lots and pay by phone app.

It's almost like Love's thought of this, and is doing it. 🤣 Their going price seems to be $39, still a good value considering what some dumpy parks charge.

My problem with all of these Love RV lots that I have read about on here and on other forums is the price, as in many of these areas one can easily find a mom and pop roadside RV park that is both cheaper and nicer, in addition to likely being quieter.
Are these Love RV Lots or just for overnight stays while in route?

I rarely see any advantage of having hookups for an overnight stay. I wouldn't even bother to hookup anything for a single night.

From some of what I've read, after all is said and done a night at Love's is just about $47 with fees and taxes, and they have a ridiculously expensive cancellation policy fleecing you for a good portion of your booking amount.

Overnight in a Texas rest stop in August with no A/C and by morning you'll have a come to Jesus paradigm shift, promise.
