no hot water in bathroom

flushed out anti freeze,  turned on by pass valve under sink, filled hot water tank and turned it on. have hot & cold in kitchen, cold in bathroom and only cold in shower. also sounds like water in shower is running in the wall.

You might check the two valves on the outside shower. If they are open and the head turned off, a cross feed can cause the symptoms you describe - except for the water running in the wall. If the shower head is dribbling that might explain that.

Ditto for the inside shower. If the water is turned off at the shower head instead of the faucet, a cross-feed is likely to occur.
