We are heading to the Oregon Coast for 6 weeks and are looking for some place right on the ocean to camp, either dry camping or campground.  Alot seemed to be already booked, we were hoping it would be less busy.  Any suggestions appreciated.  Thanks

We just returned from a week at Nahalem Bay State Park, which is basically right off the 101 west of Portland. The campground is separated from the beach by a dirt berm, which in my opinion, was good, because it was a great wind break (And it was windy.)

We have stayed in a lot of State Parks in Oregon, especially on the coast.
Beachside is the only one that has a few sites right on the beach.

There are several others that are within walking distance to the beaches.

Most of the parks can accommodate a 40' motor home.

I've never stayed in any of the numerous RV parks on the coast.

We just left Beachfront RV Park in Brookings Oregon, like the name says it is beach front. Max stay is two weeks than need a short time out before you can get back in.  www.beachfrontrvpark.com Brookings is close to Oregon/California borders.  Dick nvrver

Fort Stevens State park

We just stayed there a couple of days.  I was nice.  Not right on the beach but walking distance to the Pacific Ocean and the Columbia River.  The town of Astoria is nearby and very interesting also.  From there you can head down the coast to Tillamook bay and Cape lookout.

We stayed at the Sea and Sand RV park for 2 nights this summer. It's right on the 101, between Lincoln City and Boiler Bay. This place was great, large sites, full hookups, and right on the beach. The nicest, cleanest restroom & showers As I have ever come across.

Beverly Beach is not right next to the water which is a good thing due to the wind but the beach is a short walk away. It is one of our favorites.

We are leaving today for Charleston harbor marina rv park for 3 days then on up to Winchester bay and stay at Windy cove rv park and camp ground which is a Douglas County  park just across the road from Winchester bay.
