We have Benchmark maps for most of the Western States and use Google maps or if offroad US Topo Maps as they are very detailed and tell you where you are.
For fuel we use the Gas Buddy app or Google as if I recall correctly it also shows prices.
We travel mostly in the Western US and have managed well with these.
