Your Visible phone is tethered to a router?
For several years now we've used Visible as well but placed the SIM card in the Visible phone in our Verizon hotspot which works well and allows for multiple connections.

Putting the SIM card in a hotspot is a violation of Visible's terms of service which state they're only to be used in a phone. Tethering the phone to a router technically isn't.
