We have a family reunion planned in a resort in Pigeon Forge next May - and are going to be leaving our 5ver in Greeneville (with our dogs) for the weekend. We'll go back to Greeneville to pick up the 5ver, and then plan to take about 3 weeks to head home. Could go east, west or south first. Would like to stop no more than 5 times, and drive up to 8 hours per day when we are on the road.
We've only been out twice with the trailer - once to Nashville, once to the Finger Lakes. But, we've been living in it full time since May of this year, while our sticks and bricks was torn apart and hubby (who retired in May) has been renovating like mad. I'll retire in March and this will be our first "big" trip with the trailer.
Any suggestions as to campgrounds, routes, and more specifically - things to see? If it makes sense, I'd like to spend some time in Chicago.. and California LOL !!!
