Hey there!  I was wondering how to tell what gallon size my freshwater tank is.  I've located it under the bunk beds but do not know how big it is.  I have a 79' Shasta Mini on a Chevy C-30 1 ton van chassis.  I also have not been able to locate my hot water tank...  I feel like a total newbie!

1 cubic foot = 7.48051948 US gallons
1 cubic inch = 0.00432900433 US gallons
If you can see the tank you might be able to measure the tank length, height, width, and multiply by 7.4 if in feet or divide by 269 if in inches.
Result is gallons
LXWXHX7.4= US Gallons.
hope that helps
Jim

Fill it with water, then drain into a bucket or whatever so you can measure the gallons.  Or, if it has a gravity fill port (where you just pour water in), pour in gallon jugs until full.

I would guess you are talking 35-40 gallons in that coach.

The water heater will have an outside access panel, with a grill for air in and exhaust out. Usually roughly square,  maybe 16" x 16".  Fire up the water heater on propane and it should be easy to locate by sound and heat.
