We'll be traveling from the Billings, Mt area to Little Bighorn Monument then on toward Devils Tower on US 212.  Our self-imposed daily driving limit occurs along about Ashland-Broadus.  We're having a difficult time locating a camping site in that area.  Does anyone know of a campround in that area?  Dry camping is okay.

Tom, I wonder this  site will help out a bit.

My mapping program shows the Red Shale Forest Service Campground in the Custer National Forest just East of Ashland on US-212. There may also be dispersed camping opportunities along some of the Forest roads, but you will need to check a current Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) for the Ashland District or contact the forest for locations and the current rules.

An additional thought, stop at the Little Bighorn Monument, Stay at Garryowen, a couple of RV parks near there and then head to Devil's Monument
