Never had cause to use it.
Have you changed your 12V battery yet? They say to disconnect that then, that the power down doesn't really power down.

However, I changed my 12V battery to a lith and that was before I knew about disconnecting that cable. All went fine anyway. BTW, I did some testing while the "power down" was used. The 12V battery is ALWAYS charging, even when "powered down". So that is another one of those drains of the HV battery.

No. Still the original 12 volt. But apparently by our build date they were using a better 12 volt. If we still have the car in a year we’ll swap it out for a lithium. But right now we are 3 to 4 weeks away from the arrival of our model Y with acceleration boost. Woohoo. Anyway. If the model 3 just sits around and doesn’t get used much we’ll sell it. I’m supposed to be retired but still get called back reasonably often so the second car is handy. But we really would like to get down to one car by summer. Really love our model three though. It'll be hard to let it go.
