Don't walk but RUN away from this. It will have a very costly repair and I'll give you anything that there is mold behind those walls, this show that there was very poor maitenance done on this unit. For what you want to spend there should be a lot better out there unless you have specific wants.

Yes it can handle more than 6 sensors and the sensor batteries are replacable.

Which way are they pointing, if they are not pointing towards the drive shaft ( the large tube) then someone installed them wrong.

put the nut over the pin, then use a pop riviter, the nut will allow the pop riviter to work without it being pulled in between the sides of the handle base.

It should be an outlet for your furnace, you usually will find more than one in your unit, the pipe you are talking about should be hooked to an outlet on the furnace.

Those are 12 volt outlets, they should be something like a socket for a cigarette lighter but they are not, if wired correctly each one should be on a dedicated 15 amp circuit.
