Just took the cover off of the trailer today to get ready for the season.  As I was walking along the left side of the roof I noticed that the rubber seemed to be "Molded" to the cross beam.  I placed my hand on the spot and could push it in plus hear a slight squishing sound.  The area is about one foot square starting from the edge of the roof.  There are no tears/rips/holes in the rubber and all sky light, a/c, etc seals look good.  The only place I can possibly see the water getting in from would be the caulked edge?  I inspect the trailer several times a year and caulk as needed, but did not see anywhere on the roof that had an issue.  Now for the questions:

-  Does this void a warranty?
-  Can I fix this myself if the dealer refuses for some reason (warranty issue)?

I am going to assume "Worst Case" with the warranty so any input on a fix would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks Much!

Sounds like water got in somewhere and ran to that spot and accumulated, since it could not get out through the caulked seam. Water can travel a long way.
Not sure what you mean by "void a warranty". Nor can I guess if Jayco will cover a leak on a 2 year old trailer - the warranty is usually one year.

Yes you can fix it, but you have to find the source of the leak too.  You can drain the water bubble by cutting a slit to let it drain out and propping it open to dry. When thoroughly dry, re-glue the rubber to the roof and seal the slit with a good caulk.  Check inside the rig for water seepage to the interior walls or ceiling as well.

I had read in several places where roof leakage automatically voids a warranty because it is the owner's responsibility to ensure that it is sealed, etc.....  Jayco has a 2 year "Bumper - to - Bumper" warranty.  We bought our trailer new in May 05 so we have about a month to get things taken care of.  I took another look on the roof today and could not find anywhere that the water would have leaked into and traveled to the wet location.  It appears that the seals are good all around.  I made an appointment with our service department today, can't get it in for two more weeks.  Too much rain in the area right now to slit/dry/seal the roof.
