Black Tank - Best Product to use

IMHO, in order for the ice trick to do anything, you would have to fill the tank to at least 3/4 full, then add around 6 bags of ice in order for them to reach the sensors. And as soon as you drop the cubes in the tank, they're going to melt real fast. I think it would be a waste of time and money.
 
Buy one of those eight-bottle black tank cleaners and save the bottles. Then go to Walmart and pick up a gallon of their product that costs about $15. Refill the little bottles and your good to go ... and on the cheap. I also dump a pail of water down the toilet after each dump. Use the self jet washer (if you have one installed) to clean out the black tank after every third dump.

I'm convinced that he purposely created conditions that would cause the "test" to fail: filling the tank with lots of ice and very little water.

He did say that if you put a lot of water in the test tank, the ice cubes would just float around and would never touch the bottom.
