Why not kerosene, because, as I said, you already have propane on board.  Why carry another flammable liquid around if you don't have to.  Also, a propane heater can be plumbed in a permanent or semi-permanent installation.  I also recall from my tent camping days that the kerosene heaters smelled pretty bad

Also, you have to cart the thing outside to refill it, unless you want to risk spilling it inside. Diesel smells worse, but not by much. I would also make certain I had a good, working CO detector! You wouldn't want to wake up to find out you didn't wake up.
