    Parking wothout leveling

I do have electric stabilizer jacks that are easy to deploy but I have been waiting until the slides are out to deploy them. My thinking is that it may put too much pressure on the stabilizer of it already has weight on it before I put the slides out. Am I being too cautious and just try...

    Truck charging trailer batteries?

I have a 12v fridge, if I leave the trailer connected to the truck will it use the truck batteries to keep the trailer batteries charged. I’m pretty sure when the truck is running the alternator will charge the trailer batteries but wasn’t 100% sure about that and also didn’t know if it was...

    Parking wothout leveling

Yeah, the easy answer here is just at least somewhat level the damn thing. The issue is sometimes we don’t get back until late Monday evening and then I’m at work Tuesday early and the wife wants to be able to open the slides and clean and unpack. I appreciate the insight 👍🏼

    Parking wothout leveling

Yes I am referring to side to side and I can definitely tell. The refer is a 12v only residential type that doesn’t need to be level. I guess my main concern was twisting of the frame of the trailer. I feel like the big middle slide that’s probably 15’ long is going to just tear off the side...

    "Mid bunk" fifth wheel models

We are in the same situation as you, current bunkhouse tt owners looking at mid bunk 5ers. We really like the Montana High Country 385BR. The only downfall I see is losing the huge outdoor kitchen without the bunk room, but some models (including the one above) at least give you some outdoor...

    Parking wothout leveling

I have a 32’ travel trailer with 3 slides covering pretty much the entire length of the trailer all on the driver’s side. I have to be about 3 inches off level to end up level after the slides are out. We camp almost every weekend so usually only 4-5 days at home. My question is this: is it...

    Black tank flush

So after a couple mins of having the hose turned on I did go flush the toilet and left the drain open for 15 seconds to help get some more water in the tank and nothing happened 🤷‍♂️

    Black tank flush

Mine are currently accurate, at least in every other scenario I have encountered

    Black tank flush

Above my black tank flush valve is a sticker that says do not use the black tank flush unless the black tank drain is open. Is the only reason for this to keep the tank from overflowing into the rv? I assumed so and flushed for a few minutes with the valve closed to get some water built up in...

    2021 GMC 6.6 diesel 4X4

Payload on the ‘20+ GM 2500/3500 had increased significantly from previous generations and there isn’t the crazy difference between the 2500/3500 that there used to be when the artificially kept the 2500 GVWR at 10,000 for registration purposes even though they were significantly more capable...

    Tire Pressure Monitor System?

I just checked the manufacturer website and it states that it has ?tire pressure safety sensors? which is what you see in the picture, green if within spec and red if not.  Not the same as a true TPMS that you can monitor in real time, but still handy to d a quick check before hitting the road.

    GM and Chevrolet trucks?

We have also been a GM fan all our lives and a couple years ago decided an Exlpoler would be best for our family and what we needed based on what GM had available in the mid sized suv line.  It was a 2018 Platinum (top model) and it felt cheaply made and we were unimpressed from the beginning. ...

    GM and Chevrolet trucks?

I agree, the new GMC HD?s are one of the best looking trucks ever but the new Chevys aren?t great.  My favorite is still the 17-19 Chevy?s but I may be biased.

    Mattress upgrade recommendations wanted.

Sams club sells a Serta memory foam and pillow top combo mattress topper for about $150.  You could put that straight on the plywood platform and it would be comfortable.  We like it on top of our cheap rv mattress almost as much as our home mattress.
