How to get more counter space

One way we dealt with the lack of space was replacing the trailer.  Our last trailer had the kitchen counter on the door side of the trailer.  Both my wife and I like to cook so it just was not enough room even with the flip up counter extension.  Our latest trailer is a front kitchen model. ...

I guess they are called air dams?

Years ago you used to see many tow vehicles with the "air dams" on top.  I assume, just like on a big rig, they helped to reroute the air around the trailer.  This helped keep the air while driving from hitting the front of the trailer.  Has anyone used or still using one to tow their RV?  Do...

Putting a cover on my TT

Decided yesterday morning to attempt putting the cover on my Rockwood 8315SS TT by myself.  I know that many feel that covering their MH/TT/5er is not a good idea but after losing our last trailer to a leak while stored I want to keep it covered each Winter.  This is a Classic Accessories cover...

Got the new one home! and INSURANCE

That is what I did.  I have been with the same insurance agent/company for over 30 years.  They have already totaled one trailer from a water leak that caused soft floors through out.  Of course I insured its replacement with them also.  Insurance company is Safeco btw.

Towing TT with Yukon XL or Suburban XL

I tow my TT, '06 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite, with my '99 Suburban 2500 4wd.  The Suburban seemed to ride better with the old trailer so I am still futzing with the hitch height and bar preload.  I really like the Suburban because you can carry people and equipment in the truck out of the...

RV Covers - good or bad

I only cover mine at the end of the season here in Maryland.  The cover I have can be tightened up pretty well and I have not seen any wear in two years.  I would really like to see a cover that did just the roof because I am parked under one large oak in my backyard.  I would say it overhangs...

    WFCO fan speed pulsing

Thanks Gary, that all makes sense.  I am just not sure there was really a heavy load on it at the time.  Cindy was still asleep.  The TV was off and the refrigerator had been on at least 12 hours.  I had the light on over the dinette and the power pack for the laptop was plugged in.  I had...

    WFCO fan speed pulsing

WFCO = World something  Company = manufacturer of the convertor/charger in my TT

    WFCO fan speed pulsing

We went away this weekend and this is the first time I have noticed this.  Truck was disconnected, plugged into campground 30A power, couple lights on and the laptop power supply.  I noticed the cooling fan in the WFCO 8955AN was pulsing up in speed, then down in speed, etc..  Maybe fifteen...

    Duo-therm leaking water inside RV

I think my first step would be to snug, not crank, the mounting bolts or nuts inside the AC unit.

Second converter to blow in four months

I think I would like a little more info on the failing convertor.  What part of the convertor is failing?  Total output, lights, battery charging...etc.  Also, when the second one failed were you at the same campground?  Do you have a surge protector in line?  Not sure if someone else might ask...

    trailer set up and stabilizing

I am curious to suggestions for your situation.  Last time out with our latest TT I noticed more bounce in the middle than I noticed in our old trailer.  I thought I set ours up correctly also.  This TT and our old one both have Alko axles so I am figuring that is not the cause.  Thanks for...

Car phone charger adapter interfered with TPMS

I think since the TPMS system is wireless that the USB adapter may have a frequency emission that is causing the system to say "Tilt".  I could be wrong and that is just a guess.  If plugging this one back in causes the problem to reoccur, try using an adapter from a different manufacturer or...

    Polyurea spray on roof

Here is a copy of their Craigslist ad in the Baltimore Craigslist under RVs.  Looks like a really neat job from the pictures on the ad.  I wonder how a full EPDM roof replacement compares to that quoted price of $4800.  My plans are to replace this TT with an MH in five years when both of us...

    Polyurea spray on roof

I am just looking but saw this on Facebook and wonder if it is a good thing.  This company pulls the rubber roof and repairs anything necessary underneath.  Then they spray on this Polyurea coating that even goes over the things attached so resealing them is not required.  They claim a 20 year...
