Survey of CRT TV to LCD replacements

We replaced the 32 inch Sony in our 07 Winnebago Adventurer 38-J with a 32 inch Visio LCD VA220E HDTV. The tv is located in the entertainment center behind the passenger seat. The removal was very easy and took about 30 minutes. The installation was just as easy using a articulated wall mount...

JB Weld or JB Quick ??

I use the push Pex fittings that you can get at most hardware stores, including Lowe's and The Home Depot. They are both are easy to install and are permanent fixes. Just push each end of the Pex into the fitting and you are done. Gator Bite fittings do the same thing. With the type of problem...

Is it worth the cost to add a Banks Package

We installed a Banks system in our 07 Adventurer a couple of years ago and we are very pleased with the power increase it provides. We also saw a 1-2 MPG increase as well. However, if you install the system expecting it to pay for itself, then perhaps you should consider another alternative. At...

    Interior Condensation

Yes, the smaller dehumidifier is an EvaDry electric petite dehumidifier that uses Peltier technology instead of a compressor and it works very well in the smaller bedroom area. The larger unit is a SoleusAir 40-E. Unlike other large units that we looked at, the SoleusAir doesn't exhaust really...

    Interior Condensation

Here is what we did to reduce condensation and heat loss. We bought 2 dehumidifiers; a larger one for the main area of the motor home and a small one for the bedroom. When it is really cold we open the closet doors and the overhead closet doors just a bit. We went to Home Depot and bought the...

Question for those with Patriot brake system

Hi Mike. I had to use the plywood because the seat adjustment bar on a Jeep Wrangler extends a bit beyond the seat. When the Patriot goes through setup, it causes the seat to be pushed back all the way to its limits and setup always failed, so I cut a pocket in the plywood so that the adjustment...

Question for those with Patriot brake system

The first sentence in the second paragraph should begin with the following: If the braking indicator is coming on...... My mouse died and I couldn't edit the post after a reboot. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Question for those with Patriot brake system

With the issue of the braking system failing during setup, I found that putting a piece of plywood between the patriot and the seat really helps. Since doing that setup completes the first time. If the braking indicator is coming on when going over bumps, etc., the  setting for the pedal...

    OD off light blinking

I hate to say it but a blinking OD light means a problem with the transmission. I had to have mine re-built. Check the internet, Ford automatic transmissions are noted for dying at or around 100,000 miles.

    myrtle beach, sc

We also stayed at Ocean Lakes this summer and it is a nice park, although it is a very large one. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay there again. We looked at a few other parks while we were there but none that we saw were any nicer than Ocean Lakes.

    Florida Keys

Two nice parks near Key West are Blue Water Key located at mile marker 15, and Boyd's, located at mile marker 5. Both are very nice parks, but Blue Water Key is the most luxurious. Like most of the private RV resorts located in the Keys, both are somewhat pricey ($99 and $95 respectively). We...

    Florida Keys

Our last trip to the Keys was in 9/09 and after calling both Blue Water Key and Boyd's, we didn't have to have reservations.
