    Refrigerator help

Great advise JudyJB! You're right, the general RV manual(s) are essentially useless.  I have several of the hard copy manuals of other components as the prior owner kept the original manuals for things, and I've  gone online for others.  I haven't downloaded them for future use which I should!

    Refrigerator help

I think I've decided to level the RV, test the fridge again, defrost properly, then observe results. Based on results, will do nothing, yay! or look for surplus replacement door with better seal or bite the bullet and get new gasket. Thank you all so much! Stay tuned for more questions...I'm...

    Refrigerator help

Thanks for all the help everyone! When I did the dollar bill test, I pulled it out it slid without resistance in several test places, but did not just fall either in or out without me holding it.  Took a trip yesterday to pick up the remaining clearance lights I had on order (and picked up some...

    Refrigerator help

Wow!  Great links and advice! I did the dollar bill test and low and behold, even though it looked sealed and was quite flexible, it apparently does not have a good seal as the dollar bill easily slipped out. I also used a turkey baster with warm water to test any blockage in the drain hose. ...

    Refrigerator help

Thank you all Grashley - I don't know the history of the fridge operating as I just purchased the RV the end of Oct last year.  I've been tackling getting the little gem up to par and learning every step of the way!  Yesterday, I was removing and replacing clearance lights in an attempt to...

    Refrigerator help

The RV is parked toward the garage on a concrete driveway.  The incline it slightly upward toward the garage. Walking from the interior cab toward the rear of the RV, the fridge is on the left side.  I did not see any water drainage on the exterior of the driveway. The seals look fine...

More help needed, (*sigh)  :'( Dometic RM 2652 Testing refrigerator for cooling. RV parked in driveway, not perfectly level but not horrible. Ran on shorpower for 2 days.  Both refrigerator and freezer working well. Last evening, turned off all power sources and opened refrigerator/freezer...

Please help me understand my RV electric

The only 5 amp fuse I have is for my LP monitor.  I don't see your panel marked with anything other than 15 amp fuses, so maybe the mystery fuse on yours is also the LP monitor. Not sure if this will help but, my D/C panel is labeled like this: 1. 15 amp  Water Pump 2. 15 amp Furn. Fridge 3...

    Tire Covers?

Scottydl: I didn't think of the non-vinyl tire cover option, thanks!  I need 5.  When I took the spare white vinyl cover off, there was a large bird nest inside and a bit of white moldy looking stuff on the tire sidewall.  (Tire 2007). If this is what you were talking about, looks like a good...

    Rhino sewer hose storage

Lots of great ideas.  I see Amazon even sells a pvc kit for around $40. Without hijacking the thread, it would be interesting to hear what useful items could be stored in the vacant bumper once an alternative is installed for the drain hose.  How 'bout fishing equip?  I wonder if putting a...

    Roof Maintenance

I applied a tube of Dicor leveling and non leveling to the hair cracks.  While doing so, it appears that doing the seams with Eternabond will help with overall maintenance needs and labor savings in the future.  I've also decided to purchase the Liquid Rubber RV EPDM after I've applied the...

    Electrical

Thanks! I found a site where the blogger has an RV and converter like mine and was kind enough to have posted her installation process on a converter replacement which was the Progressive Dynamics with the wizard!  Wow, felt like I hit the jackpot between all the information that everyone's...
