    Northern New Mexico

Thank you all so much.  Lots of great info here.  I have a lot of researching to do on this new stuff. SeilerBird, love the Grand Canyon.  I've been twice - once with each husband. Hfx_Cdn, we've been to canyonlands, but not the others.  If we do come back down through western Colorado after...

    Northern New Mexico

Hi all. I've tried searching here but haven't found the answers I need so I'm turning to the people who've always helped before.  We have reservations in Yellowstone for June 4-13, 2019.  On our way from NW Florida we want to do more than drive through upper New Mexico.  We're really into...

    Hard top vs. Soft top

It my daily driver, so hard top, for all the reasons mentioned.  Plus many of the places we go are so dusty, we can't even have the windows down, much less the top open.  To answer about the sunshade Bikini tops - no, I don't so I can't comment about them. But I do love my Wrangler.

    Changing Bulb in Map Lights

I'll be watching this see if you get an answer.  The map lights in ours are round, not oval.  (Although I'm pretty sure ours are halogen.)  I can't get the entire bulb out.  Thinking we may just replace the light fixture with LED unit.

    Boondocking to see the eclipse

I don't know if anyone is still looking for places in Nebraska, but I found a few by doing a Google search like this one - "Arnold Nebraska eclipse" - with the quotation marks.  Lots of farmers are seeing this as way to earn a bit of extra money and are turning their fields into dry camping...

    Boondocking to see the eclipse

We're driving up from the Florida Panhandle. Not sure exactly where we'll try to watch from in the Nebraska/Wyoming path.  We plan to keep an eye on the weather forecast and then decide. After the eclipse we're going to Colorado. Starting at RMNP and gradually working our way to Great Sand Dunes...

Route, St. Mary, MT to Fishing Bridge in Yellowstone

Jim, Thanks for the additional info.  Sure hope that fire doesn't get too bad.  Looks like there may be some rain in the forecast over the next few days.  That should help. See you in the Park.

Route, St. Mary, MT to Fishing Bridge in Yellowstone

Ken, Jim G, Kim and Jim D, Thanks to all of you for your replies and advice.  :) We will stop to overnight somewhere along the way.  Just depends on how early we can get out of here and what happens along the way. I've been to Yellowstone twice, but never with an RV so didn't really pay much...

Florida Panhandle to Badlands - Avoid I-29

Brotherbill, Hope this isn't too late to help you.  Just got some internet service. We took 36 at Kansas City.  Okay road.  Took 81 up to the Sandhills by-way.  That part of 81 was okay.  Picked up 83 at Thedford.  With the exception of the part from Valentine to the SD state line which had...

Readybrake cable routing for Jeep Wrangler

Underneath the engine is what we did.  Once we got on the floor and looked up it was pretty much obvious which way to go to meet the suggestions by the Readybrake folks and keep the cable clear of anything it could hang up on or be damaged by.  On our 2008, some of the spaces were tight.  My...
