What do you look for in a Diesel Pusher MH?

You might think of a gas class A for a few years and if you travel many miles then think DP.  As said, they are more expensive to purchase, new or used.  Routine maintenance is expensive compared to gas.  We have a 1999 Bounder, 34J, Ford V10.  We are getting older and don't travel as much as we...

Triton V10 Engine cuts out in heavy rain

Bought my 1999 Bounder new.  I soon had the same problem (same engine) and the Ford dealer installed something...long ago and I don't remember what, on the air intake.  Perhaps talk to a dealer and someone there will remember the fix.  Had no problme after the fix.  Good luck.

First Class C RV - is this a decent deal?

I don't remember the year, but in the late '90s, I had a 24' Tioga.  Great unit....however the front cap was divided and water got in the seam....dry rot and a mess.  I cleaned it up and traded it on my present unit.  Newer Class Cs don't have this split in the front overhead.  Other than that...

Batteries - Inverter & the like

Running the engine to charge the batteries?? Shouldn't she be running the generator vs. the engine?  Here is what I do, many do not agree, but I change out all of my batteries every three years....regardless of whether they need it or not.  The cost is offset by not getting stranded in far...

    First time diesel pusher

A 2014 Tiffin Breeze 32BR can be had for 150K or less depending on the dealer.  My friend has a 2013 and loves it.  The 2014 has been upgraded to independent front suspension...a real plus according to him as his is a solid axel and he would have waited to buy,  but did not know of the upgrade...

After you get your batteries hooked up, take a photo of the batteries and the cables...it has helped me several times.

    1999 Bounder gas

I also have a 1999 Bounder 34J Ford V10.  Many do not agree with me, but I change out my chassis and house batteries every three years....whether they need it or not.  I then put a trickle charger on them for 24+ hours before I use them.  This brings them up to 100% as they are closer to 80%...

    96 Southwind Storm House Battery?

When you do motorhome batteries, take a digital photo and you have it next time you wish to change them out....and charge new batteries 24 hours before using them....As you know, some DP have four or more house batteries...the photos will come in handy....

    08 Fleetwood Southwind

I get 7.5 average @63 mph.  However I off set the fuel cost by sleeping and eating in my Bounder...mileage is not a concern with me when I pass a motel or cafe.....

    Washing Little Folks

With the small showers in most new motorhomes, how do you wash a small child in these showers?  My Bounder has a tub shower and it is very useful.  No tubs to save space is the reason, but I prefer a trade off for a tub....

    2011 Sightseer 33C Newbie, inverter / charger?

One question.  I just got a CPAP and have not dry camped with it yet.  Where can I get a small inverter that will power my CPAP?  I can run my gererator but prefer an inverter I think.  On another site a long time RVer said to open your door or window when you open or close a slide as it will...
