Testing Needed When Using Fleetguard ES Compleat EL Coolant?

Thanks, Dan.  SO very confusing to the "average" of us!  What would ADD when the level is low...the same product, or the Extend product?  Reply, if you will, please.  Thanks, Larry

Testing Needed When Using Fleetguard ES Compleat EL Coolant?

Two years ago I flushed my coolant system and filled with Fleetguard ES Compleat Extended Life Coolant, mixed 50/50 with distilled water. Is it necessary to periodically test with strips or a  refractometer? Or do I merely add the same coolant if low? Would appreciate a simple answer, if there...

Rusted-out tailpipe on '07 Allegro Bus - Too early??

In my case the tailpipe was attached with clamps.  Took a little working at it to get them off.  The new tailpipe from Freightliner looked to be really quality, was quite heavy, and did set me back well over $300.  I haven't yet had chance to inspect the rest of the exhaust system...sure hoping...

Rusted-out tailpipe on '07 Allegro Bus - Too early??

Gary, I'm referring to what I call the tailpipe, which attaches to the muffler and has a chrome tip.  While it is just a small piece of pipe, only two feet or so in length, it carries a huge price tag...almost $400. through Freightliner! Thankfully, I was capable of making the replacement...

Thanks Ken & All for the input.  I'll give my system a thorough inspection, and will also get the thoughts of the folks at Freightliner in Gaffney.

Rusted-out tailpipe on '07 Allegro Bus - Too early??

Appreciate your thoughts, Ken.  I never make short trips, and am not one to start and run the engine for short periods.  One thing I did quite some time ago was cut a few inches off the chrome tip.  I had backed into a picnic table and badly bent the tip, so I just hacksawed off the "ugly"...

Rusted-out tailpipe on '07 Allegro Bus - Too early??

As original owner with 43,000 miles on my '07 Allegro Bus, I was recently changing oil when saw that my tailpipe was completely rusted out!  Living in East Tennessee and with no exposure to elements that generally cause early deterioration, I really was surprised.  I've not yet inspected the...

Use of Jack Stands, Etc., in lieu of Only the Levelers

Each of us is without question concerned with being as safe as possible whenever underneath our motorhomes, while changing oil, lubing, etc.  I'd appreciate hearing what you do-it-yourselfers use to insure your safety.  No doubt jack stands are employed, along with leaving the leveling jacks...

Automatic Shut-off Valve on Class A MH Propane Tank

To all who responded, many thanks...and I'm sorry for not replying before now.  For info, I've just had the same serviceman out to "top off "my tank and was able to inquire precisely what he meant by "automatic shutoff valve".  It became obvious that he was referring to the overfill protection...

Automatic Shut-off Valve on Class A MH Propane Tank

Following a recent fillup of my 2007 Class A MH propane tank, the serviceman rather casually (I thought) informed me that I had a "bad" automatic shut-off valve              that should be replaced.  I'd appreciate someone knowledgeable informing me whether this is an item I can easily find at a...

Metal-to-metal noises coming from HWH slide on '07 Allegro Bus

While I continue to wait for an HWH tech to return my call, I'd be interested in knowing if other '07 Allegro Bus, 40ft., QDP, owners have experienced very annoying "metal-to-metal" sounding noises coming from both the front and rear of the HWH front passenger slide (MN AP37917 Spacemaker).  To...

A sun/heat shield for my bath skylight

I've recently purchased and installed products for my three roof vents (Fantastic) to help reduce the heat in my coach, during such extreme temperatures much of the country has been having.  I'd now like to find a way to cover the bath skylight, short of buying the expensive shade I've seen...

The TST Tire Pressure/Temperature Monitoring System...Does mine appear faulty?

Like many of you I chose the TST system, but am puzzled by the way it "jumps around" (e.g. from the right front tire of my motorhone to the inside left rear, or maybe to one of the toad's tires), rather than moving in an orderly pattern for the motorhome, then to the toad's four tires.  Is there...

    Infrared thermometer at Harbor Freight

Can I assume this item may also be used from testing whether my roof AC is cooling properly, by directing the beam into the output register?  I, too, have been generally well pleased with Harbor Freight merchandise.
