Need CG Recommendations for Devil's Tower, Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park

We just returned from the Mt. Rushmore area.  We stayed at Big Pine RV Park  in Custer, S.D.  From there we went to  Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Wind Cave National  Park and Deadwood.  You could also go to the Badlands National Park  and Wall Drug from there,  But we saw it on our way to...

    Crab fest

Does Jersey spice them up  similar to Maryland?   I fell in love with them when we lived in the DC area many moons ago. Nothing beats a bushel of steamed crabs with  Ol Bay, Beer and good friends! Blues  are hard to find in the North Texas Area.

Installing a New Electric Tongue Jack

Just recently installed one my trailer.  Like Carl said it is easy.  Instead of jack stands,  I just hooked it up to my tow vehicle. (My Tundra.).    Three bolts out,  the new  one in,  wire to to the Battery.. Have a great day Jim

Three months on the road and we're getting a tad weary

John Been raining here in Dallas for the last couple of days and supposed to  go through Monday. Good news is  the temp is in the low 80's. Where is the shade shop in  McKinney.  I need something to  put up instead of cheap blinds.  My dog pretty much took care of them on this trip. Think this...

    Superstitions

We're sitting outside at our campsite in Cheyenne and it was raining with the sun out. I thought about my grandmother who would have said that the Devil was beating his wife. Some others that she passed on were: Never rock  an empty rocking chair,  someone will die. It is bad luck to cut a...

    Tire Pressure in High Altitude

I  decided this morning  to leave the  pressure in the  tires  the  same. The pressure this AM was close to my norms.  Could have been the temp. We've have moved on to Cheyene.  I'll see what the readings are in the mornining. Looks like the opinions side with not adding additional air due...

    Tire Pressure in High Altitude

In the morning, I'll bring the tires up to "normal"  and see what may happen.    Good experiment for me.. I knew that I would get great info from all of you. Been getting this kind of info ever since I joined. And I thank you all!! Jim

    Tire Pressure in High Altitude

Didn't know that I would cause such ruckus  ;D So, if I read all the posts correctly,  it appears that the higher the altitude, the lower the tire pressure reading. which seems reasonable.     The "controversy"  is really great!! Probably should have included my data. Here's  my example...

    Tire Pressure in High Altitude

In high  altitude,  does tire pressure go up or down? I thought that gas expanded the higher you go from sea level. Searched the library found nothing,  but may have not have used the correct parameters. Got a couple of tires on the TT that are down a couple of pounds and we're at the base of...

A revamped speed test for up and download speeds

    Adjusting Weight Distribution Hitches

When adjusting my WD hitch,  I was using the instructions in the  library and  the ones from the  vendor that I bought it from. Both suggested measuring the distance on the front and back wheels to the ground and use the links necessary to restore this ratio. when the trailer is connected. My ...

    Hopkins Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Been running my pick-up for 4 years with metal stems.  Never a problem or leak. Only had them for 6 months on the TT.  No problems  so far. Switched them out to put on a TPMS.    I also had them balanced with the sensor on. As little as it is,  they  were out of balance.  I  was surprised. Jim
