Hello Everybody,  Papahog is BACK!!! Some will remember me from 3 years ago.  I tried to go to Quartzite in 2008 and suffered an heart attack and could be down there.  You will remember I lost my wife in 06 and was a single RV-er.  Pulling my trailer around the country.  I left the forum in...

    Sewer Hoses

I bought three cheap hoses the first year I had my trailer and they broke or tore with a couple uses each.  Then I paid top dollar at Campers World and have been using it going on three years.  I have two so I do have a spare and the spare is still in the original package.  Price does matter...

Tie on a pair of snowshoes in plain sight and head south until someone asks "What are those things"?  Then set up camp. ;D

what to do on a breakdown

I have AAA plus and have been in this same situation.  They towed my Pickup to a Ford Dealer.  AAA says they will move my TT to a safe and secure location.  For me that was the back lot of the Ford Dealer. But I think that is because it was closer than a CG or storage lot somewhere.  I was...

    heat tape

We have had some single didget temps and I just leave the water run.  More than a drip but very small stream and have had no problems with a 20 ft fresh water hose laying on top of very frozen ground.  Thank God it is not that cold all the time.

Going through A nightmare with our new Keystone Cougar 5th wheel

Really sorry about your problems/nightmare.  I would have just hated it had that happened with my trailer. I bought a new 2008 and was/am very happy with it.  However my warrantee problems were handled by Keystone.  My slid was jerking in and out real bad and banging, hanging up and would...

    internet

I use a Verizon air card.  I have for years and only stopped in one place where I did not have internet service.  The RV Park across the street from the I MAX at the Grand Canyon.  The next night we moved to the RV park at Grand Canyon Village and had real good internet for the days we were...

    tow vehicle pros and cons?

I bought the horse first then the cart later.  When I bought the truck an F-150 with a big gas engine.  9 mpg towing, 14 if I am lucky when it is empty.  If I had bought the cart first I for sure would have had a F-250 diesel.  Just no comparison to my truck.  However that is what I have and...

    Retirement

I have not worked since I retired at 62.  My income, while fixed, will carry me for the rest of my life.  Money is never more important than time.  My time on the road is the best of times.  I am happy with my decisions.

    Travel Channel and fulltiming

Yes there is a difference between having to full time it and getting to full time it.  I have been fulltiming for only 30 months and like it more everyday.  My partner is a 6 lb Yorke and he likes the same thing and places I do so life is good.  However I am starting to stay in one place longer...

    Toilet questions

I bought A 2008 TT and after about a year I had the same problem with the water leaking out and smell leaking in.  I took it in to the shop I bought it from and they took it apart and fixed it.  This fix worked real good...........................for about 4 months on the road.  I took it back...
