    2008 Tiffin Allegro M-32BA

Some Tiffin's have an issue with the wet bay rotting out.  I'd check that.  Don't pay more than low retail.

    Turbo on when idling?

Well, the turbo is running if the engine is running.  It's powered by exhaust gases.  So, if you have exhaust, the turbo is spinning.

    Fog Lights

On some motorhomes, you have to turn on the headlights then pull OUT on the switch.

    Rebuilt Titles

That's strange.  When I bought my Pathfinder last April I pulled a Carfax on it and it showed every change that had been made since new.  It showed the original delivery, purchase, a New York State safety inspection, then the trade-in at a dealer.  It was rather telling for me as there were a...

    Rebuilt Titles

It depends on what caused the unit to be totalled.  It doesn't take much.  Several years ago I bought a 1992 Cadillac that was totalled.  Car spun out and kissed a telephone pole right in the center of the rear bumper.  Veed the bumper and trunk, but was still driveable.  I was with a friend of...

    New Orleans/Gulf Coast Area

While we were in New Orleans last summer we stayed at the Jude Travel Park.  It's cheap and about 12 minutes from the French Quarter.  It's not on the best side of town (if there is one) but it has a security gate and we felt safe and secure.

    Planning Cross Country Road Trip

We did Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Yellowstone, Teton, Canyonlands and Denver coming out of Louisville, KY during a two-week vacation a couple of years ago.  Great trip and we really enjoyed it.

    Pre-owned Class A pitfalls

It was corrosion from sitting outside in a gravel lot.  The slack adjusters were not working properly so they were replaced along with the clevis pins and air cans.  The tailpipe had a pinhole where it was welded to the muffler.  I replaced the muffler with an Aeroturbine.

    Pre-owned Class A pitfalls

I recently bought a 2007 model than only had 2200 miles on the odometer.  I DID have some problems.  Radiator hose clamps were rusted, brakes needed to be overhauled, exhaust had to be replaced and one AC unit failed.  Once I took care of those problems, it's been completely trouble-free for the...

    Air Suspension

These are some hard to answer questions.  Most diesel pushers will have air ride and air brakes.  SOME pushers (I think on certain Freightliner chassis) might NOT have air bags on the front.  Easiest way is to look.  Roofing materials in the order of best to worst (just IMHO) are aluminum...

    Gettysburg and Flight 93 Memorial

We took a 4 day trip from Louisville to Gettysburg last week and arrived home yesterday. What a beautiful time of year to be traveling! The fall colors were magnificent. We left Wednesday evening from Louisville, KY and spent the first night in a Walmart near Columbus, OH. The next day were...

    Buying a used motorhome

First of all, dash air is not all it's cracked up to be.  Most of the time, we run our generator and roof AC and leave the dash air off.  It just impacts gas mileage too much and won't cool anything but your knees. Hydraulic jacks could be an easy fix, or could cost some bucks.  I'd bet you...
