Thanks for the info!  Upon closer inspection, I found that the gasket was not the culprit.  It was leaking in on the roof edge adjacent to the air conditioner unit, following the interior roof panel, and leaking in around the air conditioner, not through it.  I happened to notice water stains on...

I have a 1998 Cardinal 5th wheel with a water leak around the air conditioner in the roof (drips inside).  If I remove the outside shroud, will ther be room to caulk around the perimerter of the unit?  How does it come off? Thanks!

Thanks for the input, and you are all correct, he is under no obligation to replace it.  I would however, offer to pay for a portion of the replacement cost.  If I have to, I would replace it myself. Is it reallt easy to replace? Thanks again!
