Acrylic or Silicone to coat EPDM roof?

Has anyone used Henry 887 Tropicool ( StackPath )on a 24 year old EPDM roof? Currently all seams are caulked with Dicor type sealants. They also make a Urethane enhanced Acrylic ( StackPath ) that looks more compatible with older roofs. However I have been unable to find the type 817 product...

FYI hooking up your water hose

I was taught that only "pipe thread" (tapered) fittings used Teflon tape. Compression fittings, hose fittings, flare fittings, and others don't.

    Using extension cord for receptacle

Looking up "Dyson Vacuum Charger" returns numerous wall warts that put out around 25 Volts at .75 Amps. Adding 10 feet of lampcord is not going to break the bank. BTW loss is the same for AC or DC.

    Using extension cord for receptacle

I assume the vacuum uses a wall wart to charge it. I'd likely cut the cord & splice in a length. That way the added wire is low voltage & likely protected from shorts by the wall wart.

    Safe fireworks?

I live in a city that has banned fireworks but of course that doesn't stop them. However the ban has had the unintentional consequence of making emergency services unavailable on the 4th due to 911 being jammed up with calls about firework noises.

    Surge protector installation

A surge protector has a reaction time, typically measured in nanoseconds so it should be at least a couple feet away from your load. I'd put it at the pedestal.

The Metric System and the U.S.

I believe this might explain the Canadians going metric first. Apparently 1.5 Canadian years equals 2 American.

    Sharpening a knife

I've used the rounded top edge of a car window or the unglazed bottom rim of a coffee cup. Mostly these days I use a Smith's diamond plate and a Gerber sharpening steel. In my opinion sharpening is more technique & not tool.
