    Inverter/Generator size recommendation(?)

I have had a Champion 3400 for a couple years now. Runs the AC easily with power to spare. I highly recommend them, easy to move around with the wheels and folding handle. Reasonably fuel efficient and pretty quiet. I've owned a few Champion generators over the past 10-12 years and found them...

    Memory Foam or conventional?

We have a Zinus memory foam mattress in our home and our rv. The wife and I love them! They come in different thicknesses,  we got the 10" and I would not recommend thinner. We purchased from Amazon and they were shipped  compressed , vacuum bagged and rolled up in a box. It will take a couple...

    Need a single tire

If it were me, I'd buy whatever brand you plan on replacing the rest of the set with as the spare now. Goodyear Endurance  and Carlisle Radial Trail HD seen to be the better tires available. I currently am running the Carlisle tires myself and like them. I would also recommend upgrading from...

Break in Period for Predator 3500 W Generator

Wow, 30 hours seems a bit excessive for a break in period. I bought a Champion 3400 inverter over tge summer and they only recommend a 5 hour break in. I broke mine in alternating between a 500w halogen light and a 1500 watt heater. Did this for 5 hours, changed the oil, and have been using it...

    More "lessons" have come up

Glad you got your battery issue taken care of, sounds like the batteries you got are decent. I normally try and run my generator 2 hours a day while boondocking and it seems to work for  me. You may need more or less depending on your electrical useage. By the way, greetings from a fellow...

Junk Title any way to fix this in Wisconsin? ANYTHING honestly, I need help.

You might speak to a title company or title service. They know the laws and loop holes of various states. A  friend of mine was able to get a title for a truck through a title service, think it cost him $500. Pretty crappy of the seller to fleece you like that. Have you spoken to the seller...

    Replacing spark plug

Some advise from a fellow ford owner, when it is time for spark plug replacement, buy only the original equipment Motorcraft plugs. These ford modular engines are very picky  on the plugs and Motorcraft will last the best. When I did them in my 5.4, the motorcrafts were made in Japan and are...

Urgent--need explanations: dodge 440 cooling system

If the radiator was replaced, it may have to small of core thickness. A heavy duty application like an rv, tow truck, etc, traditionally has a 3 or 4 row radiator. If someone replaced it with a standard truck rad that was only  2 row, it might not have enough capacity. Also, on the thermostat...

    Where to get my tires

If you are looking at the Carlisle Radial Trail HD, that is what I have, and they seem to be a good tire. They are the newest design, with a more modern design technology. At any rate, I havent heard of anyone reporting any widespread issues with them. Ive put about 700 miles on mine and the...

Jc Whitney used to sell universal seatbelts. Not sure if they still carry them, but someplace to check.

    Amsoil?

Amsoil filters are not the same as wix, they are not even made by wix. Amsoil filters are made by either Champion Labs or Baldwin. They are made with a wire mesh backed, synthetic microglass filter media, that Amsoil specifies in their filters. They filter at 99% efficiency at 20 microns, which...

    Battery From Walmart??

In my humble opinion, of the "big 3" main battery manufacturers, Deka/East Penn seems to make the longest lasting batteries in my experience, followed by Johnson Controls (Walmart, interstate,  etc.) And Exide has been the shortest lived, in my personal experience. The most affordable way to...

    Amsoil?

I am a long time Amsoil user and became a dealer a few years ago, dont sell a lot, mostly friends and family. I will tell you there is a difference  in synthetic oils. There are 3 grades of synthetic oil base stocks, group 3, 4 and 5. Group 3 is more or less  highly refined petroleum oil, in...

Time to replace awning fabric. What should I expect to pay?

The wife and I recently replaced the fabric on our 16' manual awning, took us about an hour and a half. This was our first time doing it. I think I paid around $300 for the vinyl fabric from Amazon.
