Considering Purchasing an Enclosed Car Trailer

I have done it all tow dolly, 4 down and trailer.  To me the trailer is the easiest to tow as you can back or go forward.  Each has its Pros and Cons.  We towed the trailer when we were taking both the car and the motorcycle.  Now that we are not taking the bike we went to 4 down.  Very few...

    RV/Truck Stop wash

When we get home I take ours to the Blue Beacon Truck/RV wash near us.  For $54 and some cents they wash, apply paint protect and Rain-X and do the Aluminum wheels.  Have never had a problem with them washing, they do a lot of RVs.  I carry a spray bottle of water with a small amount of Calgon...

    Itasca Propane Gauge

We have the very same unit.  Ours has a gauge towards the top front side of the tank.  It is rather hard to read in the position it is in.  It is very accurate, much more so than the One Place.  We have over 10,000 miles on our unit and have had no problems.

Those of you who tow a car hauler (not a tow dolly) - some questions

First off we have pulled a car and. motorcycle in an enclosed trailer for 8 years.  Yes at some campgrounds it can be a problem but most have pull thrus.  Truck stops I'm not much longer than a truck It is nice to be able to backup whenever you need to without having to unhook

HWH heads up Winnebago Repair man

We use auto-level and a 3 inch round level on the floor (vinyl) between the cockpit seats and auto level.  If the floor level is with in the center circle things are good.  I figure the flooring is the best level spot but I maybe wrong.  I use the entry door switch or wet bay switch to store the...

    2012 Itasca Sunova 30A

We have the 2012 Sunova 33C which we really like.  We looked at the 30A but did not like the way the TV slid out into the hall and thought the position of the TV would also be harder to watch than the 33C.  We live in ours for 5 months while south Texas for the winter.  This is our 2nd Sunova...

    New Class A for under a 100K!

You get what you pay for.  The lower the base cost the less you get someplace.  The lower end units will not have as good of interior fixtures/furniture.  I am not talking about refer/stove etc, they will probably be smaller units, one a/c instead of 2, less expensive paneling etc.  The chassis...

2012 Vista 35F dash message center

I called Winnebago awhile back about not having the MPG.  I was told that Winnebago does not order that function, but if I called Ford they might be able to help get it back.  I have not taken the time to call Ford yet.  Have been to busy having fun in TX.  I have a Scan Gauge on and use it.  I...

Wanting to purchase an RV. Having trouble deciding which one.

As our kids were growing we had fold-downs then TT and after they left home went to the MH.  One thing to consider with the smaller kids is wanting to see as you go down the road.  Much better view from a auto/suv/truck than a MH for all.  My most important thought would be floor plan sleeping...

    Gas MH Engines

We have owned DP and 99, 04, 06, and now a 12 ford chassis.  Have had no problems with any of them all have had power to handle our needs and no problems.  What I would look for is a great floorplan and not worry what chassis it is on whether it be Workhorse or Ford.  Either should serve you...

Tools, What do you carry, What do you leave home?

I carry an assortment of hand tools for simple repairs, volt meter, and air compressor.  A good road assistance carrier and the Judge (loaded with both 410 & 45), you never know what to expect if you are broke down in a semi remote spot, always want an equalizer.

    want to install washer/dryer

We have in our stick house an LG washer/dryer combo ventless and it does a good job.  It is more standard size having a 22 lb capacity.  The wife just loves it, and it gave her more room in the laundry room.  Although she has just filled it up with more yarn for knitting.  Oh well, I just go in...

    Ceiling fan added to Sunova

Just finished adding a 12v ceiling fan to the bed room of our 2012 Sunova.  Got the fan from the Winnebago factory and mounted it.  I first pulled the trim that divided the ceiling panels and used this area to run the wires from the closet to where the fan was to be mounted.  I tied into the...

    Winnebago Destination????

While at the factory last week.  I heard customers talking about the basement A/C.  They said they were told that Colemen did not come up with the new freon system/method for the basement A/Cs and that is why they quit building them for the time being.  My understanding from the conversation was...
