    Wineguard Crankup Satellites

As long as the Winegard crank-up satellite dish has a dual LNB, there's no need for any kind of spliter in order to watch two different satellite TV programs on two different TVs.  Been there, done that.

    question

What?  No supplies at all?  No clothes, no dishes, no pots & pans, no toiletries, no laptops, no "nothing?"

    QUARTZSITE - NO WATER !!

You're saying there is no water in the entire town of Quartzsite???  If that's true, then how come the RV Pit Stop has water??? The water was working just fine on Friday when we left at about 9:00 AM.

    Emergency road service insurance

You do not have to belong to FMCA (or any other group) to sign up for CoachNet ERS.  We don't own a motorhome, but we have CoachNet ERS, too.

us cell phone service in canada(verizon international)

Verizon does have a Canada plan that you can add to your US plan.  However, don't expect service in the upper reaches of Alberta, British Columbia, and certainly not Yukon!  Verizon has a map on their website showing the areas of Canada they cover...you'll see that it won't help you very much on...

    insurance on a trailer?

If you are buying a brand new RV, I would suggest getting Total Loss Replacement coverage.  This coverage will buy you a brand new equivalent RV if you should suffer a total loss within the first 5 years.  After that, the coverage gives you the price you paid for the RV. Without this coverage...

    Reservations

We don't often stay in RV parks, but when we do, about the only time we make reservations is for one of our C2C or RPI parks which require them; otherwise, we just wing it.  We've never not been able to find a place to stay.  Of course, we're off the road early in the day...usually by 2 or 3 and...

NADA Wholesale really possible on used units?

If I were selling my RV, I would not accept wholesale value for it.  Heck, if I were going to accept wholesale, I'd sooner trade it in (because that's all the dealers will give you) than go to all the expense and trouble trying to sell it myself.

New Deep Cycle Coach battery draining at a fast rate when dry camping

As others have indicated, at a minimum you should add a second 12-volt battery (two 6-volts would be better).  However, the forced-air furnace is a huge battery hog (not to mention propane hog).  Since you have a generator, you might want to consider changing out your inefficient converter to...

    When Is Propane tank Empty?

Instead of having to pack up everything in your motorhome and unhook to drive it down to fill up the propane tank, why not have an Extend-A-Stay installed and use an external propane tank?  That way, when it's empty, you can throw it in your toad and take it down to be filled.

Thinking on BUYING a new TT for an ALASKA trip

I don't agree with this statement.  The shoulder months of May and September can be great times for traveling to Alaska.  Yes, the weather is going to be colder, and you'll have to be prepared to stay over someplace for a day or two if a snow storm comes through, and some services won't be open...

Any Fulltimers from MD - Question on changing domicile

South Dakota just made the same changes.  Alternative Resources' website has a pretty good write-up of the new changes.

    surprised by the wieght!

There are some light-weight travel trailers out there suitable for towing with a half-ton pickup.  However, they're likely to be shorter than 25' and won't have slides.

Towing Fifth Wheel in High Wind

Unless you HAVE to leave at a certain time, I'd wait out the high winds...it'll do a number on your fuel mileage (unless, of course, it's a tail wind)!

Fulltime + Montana LLC = No Financing?

Check with the attorney who set up your LLC...they can usually give you leads to banks who will finance under these situations.
