If you actually BOUGHT an RV from Cruise America, would like to hear from you...

I've had my 2006 Thor Majestic 23A for 9 years now. It had 136K MI when I bought it, now 153K. A lot of great camping with this rig. Repairs were minimal the first 5 or 6 years but the last 2 years have been expensive: headers & rear brakes to pass 2021 inspection; transmission leak and front...

    Buying from Cruise America

I have owned my Cruise America RV for 7 years old now and just hit 150K miles.  It had 136K when I bought it. On the plus side I could not have gotten into RV'ing as cheaply as I could anywhere else, I put over 13K on the unit and stayed at about 70 campgrounds in a half dozen states and up...

    RV's from Cruise America

I'm going on year 6 with my Cruise America Majestic 23A RV.  Last fall I had my first major expense:  ball joints and wheel alignment- $1,700.00.  And this year I will replace the rear tires (did the front last year).  But other than routine maintenance I have been happy.  Yes, it is a bit...

Looking to buy a 2012 Thor Majestic 19G RV

Since I own a Majestic RV I often check the cruiseamerica.com site to see their current inventory and prices.  I have not seen any 19G's for sale lately.  Not sure why.  You may want to consider a 23A.  The 19G does get better gas mileage and is easier to drive.  But the 23A has a separate...

    Buying An Older Class C

I agree with renting different size RV's first.  It is less hassle than buying one that you don't like.  I rented a few at first and ended up buying a former Cruise America rental.  Had it for 5 years now and have put 15K miles on it.  No big expenses other than routine maintenance.  I believe...

US Public campgrounds/parks going to be privatized?

I've stayed at campgrounds run by concessionaires and thought they were well run.  One example is Seneca Shadows USFS Campground at Seneca Rocks, WV.  I enjoyed my stay there.  As for cell towers this area is in the 'dead zone' surrounding the Greenbank, WV National Radio Astronomy Observatory. ...

    older motor homes-jamboree, Tioga etc.

That 1999 Bounder does look good, the mileage is about average and the price is right.  The only thing that I'm not crazy about is the material used on the sofa, chair and drapes.

Ford E 350 motorhome owners please help!

I've adequately towed a 3,250 lb 2014 Chevy Captiva with my 5.4 L V8 E350 based 24 foot class C RV.  Yes, it slows down on big hills but it gets the job done.  So if you have the Ford V10 and are towing a bike at around 2,000-2,500 lbs I personally see no issues.

Cost of New Brakes on Motorhome?

I had my brakes replaced and the brake fluid drained and replaced on my rig back in May.  Cost was around $900.  Hopefully, I won't have to do this again for this rig.

Do RV'ers keep their "tent camping gear?"

I bought an RV because sleeping on the ground became uncomfortable in a tent.  However, I kept my camping gear and still try to car camp or backpack camp once a year.  Though the RV is a lot more comfortable to sleep in!

    Cruise America And Cheap Motorhomes

I have had a cheap Cruise America motorhome for almost 5 years now.  No major issues and I got into RV'ing very inexpensively.  Their units are mostly Thor Four Winds units without slides.  I have 148K on mine.  I would think there would be a market for high end RV rentals as well as low end RV...

    Buying a Cruise America Motorhome

Sorry for the issues that you encountered.  I'm going into my 5th year now with my CA 2006 Majestic 23A.  No major issues so far.  And I have been able to get into RV'ing for a third of what most people spend on a comparable new RV.  So I've been happy with my former rental.  Oh, and I also own...

    2008 Majestic C Class 28a - Televison fitting - need info please

I have a Majestic 23A.  There is a TV coax jack on the top of the AC cord compartment.  There is also a COAX jack under the dinette table.  These units did not have any external TV antennas.  As for the solar panels I was told by my salesman that they had solar panels originally mounted on top...
