Got the new water heater closet framed and shelved, then painted. Took out the old fridge wall and insulated the old fridge vent and sealed it off. A home fridge will take it's place [13.9 CF or smaller]. Had to cut the plug box in half to make sure the fridge would fit without blocking the doorway to the bathroom. Then got the final shiplap installed. Finally I got the power junction box installed. Test fitting the head unit I knew wasn't centered...next I will try to move the wax ring base to the right a bit [where it was to begin with BTW] before they installed the home unit. I have a new one in the box ready to go once I get there.

The sheet pan "cabinet" above the fridge area is done and hides the damaged area where the fridge vent used to be. The roof still needs sealing but I have roll roofing over the area now and will be putting down some sheet metal over a couple of layers of insulation when I redo the roof coating. Also got the "closet" in the bathroom shelved for my work clothes the same way I have it done in the house. I don't have many hanging things, so the two hanging closets in the bedroom will be more than enough room for those.

Finally I got eh water heater door installed, but was rushed getting things battened down for the storm that hit us so I didn't get pics yet.

Got my 12v deep cycle battery installed and ready to power the jack. I won't be using it for backup power much, but it will be an option just in case I need the lights on before I can get the generator started after a storm. To do so I set two blocks of wood into the two battery wells, then screwed them in from below. Then I took a larger 2x12 and screwed it into the blocks from the top. Then mounted the battery box to the top block of wood.

Ditched the clear stain idea, didn't look good. Went with a custom mix of Ready Seal Pecan and Natural Cedar throughout. Got that all stained Sunday and filled the holes in the paint areas so I can start painting later today!

Got the first can of paint mixed but the color is off so I have to go somewhere else. All Valspar dealers are not on the same page!

Picked up the rest of the paint today and got the kitchen started with the first coat. Also got the flooring [Florian Oak] and it is a reclaimed Oak look. Here's a sneak peek by itself and next to the wall wood.

Well it was going to be a red pepper color but the guy who mixed it messed it up and it's closer to purple, Going to have to try and add another color to get it out of the purple range.

Yep, book formula and I had other things to get in the store so I didn't watch him. After painting the wall, I think I may switch colors entirely. All the rest of my color scheme is different than I have ever had in a house, so I think a color change is in order. Gonna try and redo the red for the outside of the RV.
Back when my former wife and I were doing camper remodeling on the vintage models, we painted two of them with "house paint" and then coated with clearcoat. One of them was listed for sale after 11 years and the ex got to see it. She talked to the lady who owned it and asked her if anything was needing work. She said no and in the pics it all looked as new as it did when we sold it. Laminate flooring, paint inside and out was in excellent shape.

We did paint two others using automotive paint [$$$$] and we know one camper specialist who uses nothing but lacquer.

Interior painting is coming along. Had a color change or two but here's the progress. Using Valspar Signature paint with primer and it's covering in two coats. Walls and cabinets sere sanded lightly first. All joining strips removed and filled with sheetrock mud.
You will no doubt notice the deck board under the right side of the kitchen cabinet that juts out with the sink angle. The cabinet was lower on that side by 3/4". I will be adding to that board to make it some kind of a shelf system [small one]. Not sure if it will stay or if I will build something different but I need something under that corner.

Not too far away...casework paint, cabinet door paint, flooring, bathroom [shower and toilet installation and HW heater hookup], propane system check, then trim, roof coating and exterior paint...I am past the halfway mark!
