Forgot to post about the AC last Friday...the tech was in and out in 30 minutes and installed the new 15,000btu Dometic Fresh Jet. It is blowing about 15% more air and I am about to get a diverter in the ceiling fixture to dump more air in the main area. The old one was tripping the breaker once a day and I decided since this is going to be my home soon, that I would sell a couple of toys and get a new one.

Hoping to sell the old one to someone who knows how to fix them since it is still working.

After the Ac went in I got the sofa installed and the second coffee table done. The sofa will fold down into a bed if I ever want to sleep in the main area. This second table with the cedar slab top will be home to the monitor [iMac] so I can free up space on my 3'x5' Colorado ledge stone table top [it will go on the open frame in the center of the pic]. Also mocked up the shower base [36"x36"]...it's bigger than the one in my current house.

Got four of the blinds up today in the "hot room" [slide out]. Those four windows gather a LOT of sun. Should help keep temps down tomorrow when it's going to be 107!

The right large window will need a wider shade, but this one will do for now, without them it gets a little warm inside around 4-5pm.

Got all the lights installed and the rest of the window blinds except for the kitchen window and the other 'bunk room' window [ordering those two this morning]. Should be cooler in there today without the sun blaring in at 109 degrees!

Also thinking about external shutters to close during the day when I am at work to keep it even cooler inside. Texas summers bring it!

Haven't been working in the camper much due to the heat and extra work going on at the water company [board president]. Been helping the GM revamp a lot of the standard operational procedures and negotiate a move out of a less than ideal situation at the same time. Hope to get back out there very soon. Am about 85% finished at this point!

Been a few months since I did much in the RV, got busy and have been waiting on the plumber friend to get time to help out with the PEX routing and connecting. I doubt he will get around to it [trade outs rarely work in my favor unfortunately]. May have to hire someone to help me out on this one.
But I did get a few decor items up, a new shelf in the main area and am down to one small area at the bottom of the kitchen cabinets for trim. All the lights are now LED [reading lights will be standard bulbs until I run out].

I hope your friend does return the favour - I'd be looking for a new friend if mine did that!

What a great jobDoits going to be great to live in!

Do you think you've added a lot of weight with all the wooden items? Guess it doesn't matter too much since its going to be stationary.

I know it added a little weight...likely around 300 pounds for the cedar shiplap siding inside and out. Flooring another 500-600 pounds. Weight of the rig was 8750 pounds to begin with so I am now closing in on 10k total. No worries though, my neighbor has a truck that hauls 20k so he will drag it the 150 feet I have to go to it's new home when the time comes. Have another friend who can help if it needs to move after that.
Yeah the friend I did the trade out with two years ago may not be a good one. To his credit he does have a 3 year old daughter and he is busy with her a lot [shared custody with his ex].

I have worked with it once before but only on a small repair with my neighbor. This time I really want to watch an expert do it so I know how the pros do it. We will have to plumb the shower, toilet and join the main lines to the bathroom and kitchen sinks.
I already have the clamp tool and a ton of fittings or I would get the push style connectors.

A belt and suspenders.

Got extremely busy redoing a part of my shop until this last week. Jumped on getting the paint on the outside while I wait for help with the bathroom plumbing. Base color "Sleeping Giant" and clearcoat on top. Will wind up with a couple of coats of both everywhere. I am doing it in sections as I have time [in between rains]. A few more wood accents will be added and then all re-stained in solid black.

More color on today....going to re-stain the wood on the new areas, then shoot clear on it tomorrow if the weather holds out good.
