    Adding AC outlet to Slide

Inverter is great idea, I hadn't thought of going that direction.  Thanks

    Adding AC outlet to Slide

Anyone have a good way to add an AC outlet to the slide.  I would like to have one in the dining area where I frequently use a computer.  Currently the slide has only 12V. The trailer is a 2011 Jayco Eagle ultra lite. Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks edjunior.  Over the years we have pulled numerous TT while the kids were growing up.  Later, my wife and I graduated to a 38' American Eagle that we traveled all over the US in.  For some reason we got away from camping, sold the MH and now, ten years later, have regressed back to a...

personal safety while on the road

Orick in reference to your second comment.  You need to go back and read what I said.  I was not in the open desert but I said in the mountains on a Forest Service road.  I had two choices, ahead or back.  Left or right were not options.  I decided to accelerate BEFORE they could close the road...

personal safety while on the road

Barb. I believe Olcoon's MSN link explains where people go. We go about life. I would think that the deceased had no clue that day how it would end. I have had a few encounters. The first was at an ATM. I was carrying, but fortunately I was a able to flee instead of taking the life of two...

    The best exteneded warranty

I have decided to buy the Wholesale Warranties policy.  Only time will tell if it was a good deal.  Even though generally against these type warranties (really insurance as mentioned). I decided to so in this case.  I had purchased my trailer from DirectRV saying over $5000 from the best local...

    The best exteneded warranty

Gary, you are absolutely right.  But most of us buy car, house, medical and life insurance just in case.  Obviously all insurance companies are in business for a profit. We just all want to feel protected, all warm and fuzzy.  We would all be better to self insure, but we don't.

personal safety while on the road

I think Don's quote was the best I have ever seen.  Yes, I carry a gun in my RV and anywhere else I might happen to be.  I am military trained of 21 years and am licenced to carry concealed the past 12 years.  I go through refresher training at each license renewal.  I shoot at a target range...

    The best exteneded warranty

You are in same situation I am.  On the plus side, if I have one problem with a fridge or slide it could cost more than the policy for 7 years.  I am generally against ALL extended warranties, but with all the technology on board, one problem could be very expensive.  I am thinking but am...

    Closet Project Complete!

Great job.  I just took delivery of a new TT 10 days ago and it has the same closets.  Overall there are 3 closet with hanger rods where we need shelves or drawers.  I will do something similiar and will use your ideas as a quide.  I was concerned about that thin wall on the bed side. :)

    Buying a new RV

cybertron, that is about the savings we experienced.  We are now sitting in a great campground in Colorado Springs.  We have been site seeing for 3 days and will leave Sunday.  It has been a great shakedown maiden voyage.  We have had zero trailer problems.  Yesterday afternoon and again this...

    Buying a new RV

I picked up my Jayco Eagle super-lite From Des Moines RV.  I had purchased the trailer on line from RVDirect.  The trailer was ready and serviced at the appointed time.  The demo guy was very knowledgeable about this trailer and campers in general.  He spent nearly 2 hours going over every item...

    Buying a new RV

I agree, everyone needs to make a profit, but my job is to minimize the profit made by others from me.  And local dealers can be very price competitive; really, by charging me 20% more for a one year older model  and less add-ons.  And gas and motels to go pick it up; yup, my bride of 47 years...
