the factory connection on your cougar is a quick connect type, youll have to adapt it. Or you can buy a marshall quick connect kit to use your coleman grill from your lp tanks.
Cherookee is a decent brand, not over priced and built pretty decent. you can read more about them at the forest river forum.

check you roof plumbing vent and repalce it with one of the turbo style thats resembles a pvc "tee", it acts like a vacumm as you go down the road to pull the vapor/odors out of your black tank.

Kit is long since out of business, back in the 70 's they built some solid rv's, then mid 80's they were ok, the later stuff is just average. as long as the price is fair and its in decent condition then its about as good as most other starter wood frame/metal sided rv's
