Checking the alternator is a good idea.  It should be outputting ~14V when the engine is running.

This is a stunning drive!  I would add a note of caution about HWY89 on the west side of the lake though.  It is one lane each direction and can narrow in places with switchbacks and steep drop-offs on both sides.  Not all, or even many, people would be comfortable driving a large vehicle here.

Fort Stevens State park We just stayed there a couple of days.  I was nice.  Not right on the beach but walking distance to the Pacific Ocean and the Columbia River.  The town of Astoria is nearby and very interesting also.  From there you can head down the coast to Tillamook bay and Cape lookout.

Try running from an alternate fuel supply before replacing the fuel pump!  If there is a small crack in the fuel line to the main fuel tank it can let enough air in during low flow operation to prevent the generator from running.  You can just use a gas can as the alternate fuel supply.

Good advice here!  Renting a modem from your cable company is expensive.  I bought a DOCSIS 3 modem and an Ooma phone a few years ago.  It's probably saved me ~$1000 since then.
